The Lamb Inn Great Rissington
"Beautiful room and garden. We stayed in the little cottage out the back with the king bed and garden view. The Lamb Inn was cozy and inviting, beautiful interiors and great traditional bar and restaurant. Wonderful Sunday roast dinner one of our best meals the whole trip at the restaurant. Would have loved to stay longer and eaten at the restaurant with their regular menu. Really close to key locations around the Cotswolds central enough to explore the villages during the day."
Queens Hotel Cheltenham
"Great location! Helpful staff. Good breakfast."

"We had a wonderful stay at Lords of the Manor. The room was spacious and clean, with high-quality towels and bed linen. The gardens were beautiful, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!"
Ramada by Wyndham Cheltenham
"Room was ok, food was excellent. The hotel is going through renovation and my room had paint all over the carpet and challenging to sleep with the smell of the paint. Bed was comfy though !!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Cheltenham
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Cheltenham on a budget is a great value for money, especially during the months of January, February, and December, when hotel prices may drop to more affordable levels. To fully appreciate the town's rich history and culture, including its small-town charm, sightseeing attractions, friendly people, guided tours, horseracing, musicals, jazz events, and its beautiful gardens, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This itinerary offers a perfect balance of exploring key landmarks and immersing oneself in the local cultural scene.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover excellent hotel deals in Cheltenham by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where discounted rates near your travel date could be available. Enabling email alerts or push notifications will keep you informed of flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool, accessible via the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to spot an opportunity for a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a Cheltenham hotel. If you're in search of a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead you to a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Cheltenham's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that is still well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
