Maldron Hotel Newcastle
"It would have been a 5/5, but for a poor breakfast. Staff are lovely 😊"
Copthorne Hotel Newcastle
"Great hotel in a very central location, good parking for a city centre hotel and very helpful staff."
Grand Hotel Gosforth Park
"We stayed in a suite - very reasonably priced, spacious and well equipped with 2 TVs. Room details said that the bed was King sized - it seemed quite a bit smaller than that, but definitely bigger than a usual double. Chats bar had a good choice of bar meals and snacks. The main restaurant was only opened for breakfast, but there was plenty of choice in surrounding areas like Blyth and Newcastle. Travel around the locality and beyond was good. There was a golf course next door, and getting to Newcastle was easy on the bus when we didn’t want to use the car. Staff were great, always helpful and cheerful, especially the reception and housekeeping teams."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead
"Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean and spacious room with food air con. Pool, sauna and steam room facilities were superb....breakfast also fantastic...a great stay"
Great North Hotel
"Quick , efficient and welcoming check in. Spacious car park Rooms are very clean and comfortable with aircon and a good range of , tea, coffee, biscuits etc. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of self serve and menu options. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and despite being on a busy road the hotel is quiet. "
Lumley Castle Hotel
"A very unique place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, I couldn’t praise them enough, especially the breakfast staff and the Library bar staff. They were always smiling and happy to chat. We stayed in a courtyard superior room that was very big with a very large and comfortable bed. We were on the ground floor and were able to park our car by the room each day. The stairs and floor in the bedroom above us were very creaky but it’s to be expected with the age of the property. Breakfast had lots of choices and was very enjoyable. We ate in the Library Bar most evenings and the food was amazing! The outdoor terrace was a lovely place to sit in the evenings. The castle itself was stunning with lots of original features. I would highly recommend it and hope to visit again."
Royal Station Hotel
"We tried to sign in on line but the link didn't work. We had to complete the sign in which took ages. The screen form was certainly not user friendly. No address look up from a post code, didn't recognise England as a country, or UK or Great Britain. What a welcome to the hotel! Room was ok but no opening windows so it was like a sauna. There was a fan in the room. Breakfast was excellent made better by the attention given by Michael and Lorraine. If you need a bus Lorraine knows the best way to get from A to B."
Langley Castle Hotel
"What a fantastic place to stay! Peaceful, historic, and exceptionally well managed and staffed. There are stairs, but this minor bother is offset by the overall quality of this fine establishment."
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newcastle International Airport
"Friendly staff, good food in restaurant, comfortable bed"
