das flax allgäu
"A very good hotel—clean, modern and extremely stylish. We particularly liked the playroom with books and games, which was a lovely space for families to spend time together. Dinner had a small menu of only four choices, but the food was very good, as was breakfast. The sauna and gym facilities were excellent. The only minor issue was the open-plan shower area, particularly with a large mirror directly opposite. Fine for a couple, but if you are travelling with family or friends, it offers very little privacy when showering. A stylish, modern and welcoming hotel with excellent facilities and very good food."
Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau
"Perfect location, right by the Neuschwanstein bus and carriage stops and the path up to Hohenschwangau castle, and a very short walk to the lake. Lovely restaurant - we booked a table through reception and had a table looking up at the castle. Our room was very quiet. The only slight downside was no aircon so the room was very warm (a fan was provided). Staff were very helpful. There was a small car park for guests - we arrived relatively early so didn't have any issues getting a space although there weren't enough spaces for all guests. The main town car park was nearby though. We'd highly recommend this hotel."
Hotel Sonne
"This was a very modern, chic and trendy hotel. Very clean and the location was great. We were traveling with our family and the bathroom was a little challenging because there are no doors to the bathroom or shower. The shower drain clogged, and because there is no lip in the shower, water went all over the bathroom (but the staff cleaned it up quickly). I think this was the market rate for other hotels in Fussen, but it was expensive, and breakfast and parking wasn’t included. Maybe just not the right fit for our family, but a couple looking for a fun getaway it would be awesome."
Hotel & Restaurant Ludwigs
"Amazing location, the food at the restaurant is incredible, the breakfast buffet is a great value for a large selection of food. BUT not all of the rooms have A/C, and if you are going in the summer, you MUST make sure that you book a room with A/C. The hotel lent us a fan to use in our room but honestly it didn’t help. We were unbearably hot in our room. We slept with the windows wide open and it was noisy out on the street late into the night, and then started again at 5am. We barely slept during our 4 nights there. But if you can lock in a room with A/C, this is a great hotel."
Alpenmotel Säuling
"Beautiful location, easy to drive to sites nearby. Decor is a little dated, but comfortable."
Luitpoldpark Hotel
"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Everything was spotless, and all the facilities were in top condition. As someone who likes to work out while travelling, I found the gym to be surprisingly well-equipped. The breakfast had a good variety, and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. Would definitely stay here again!"
Das König Ludwig - Adult Only
"Excellent"
Central City Hotel
"Quiet, comfortable, super clean, easy access to the Castle busses. Family run and cared for. Must be new since the building had that new-rug smell and everything was in perfect condition. Highly recommend!"
Hotel Bergsonne Allgäu
"Nice quiet small hotel, friendly staff, the rooms were fresh and clean."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Jungholz
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Jungholz is during May, June, and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a great value for money experience, it is recommended to stay for at least 2 to 3 days to fully appreciate the town’s historical landmarks and cultural attractions. Highlights include exploring the charming small-town atmosphere, hiking in the nearby mountains, visiting the local castle, and trying the regional cheese. This duration allows visitors to enjoy a mix of relaxation and activity, making it an ideal getaway for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Jungholz, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, increasing your chances of finding the best options. You'll be among the first to know if rooms become available or prices drop, making it easier to secure a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Jungholz. If you're seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher end, we’ll recommend alternative dates that could lead to better value for your stay.
- Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable rates, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you plan to visit. You could also explore independent hotels further afield, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
