"What a lovely place! It’s basic but has everything you need - clean, fridge, a safe and kettle & green tea, The bed was so comfortable. On one of the floors, there’s two microwaves and a seating area. I used this and it was very clean. There is a small Onsen and laundry facilities (which I didn’t use). I did use the Onsen facilities in their sister hotel directly opposite - wonderful! Highly recommended."

"The venue is wonderful. Located slightly off the town centre. However, it was challenging to get dinner on site as dinner has to be pre booked. A bit of challenge for us as we did not know that and many places in town closed early. Breakfast was excellent. I had the Japanese breakfast and hubby had the western. Both were very good."

The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort

The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort

10/10 Excellent
"The staffs were world class, food was excellent with a lot of variety. The location can't be beat and the rooftop onsen was one of a kind experience. Taking a nice afternoon stroll along the lake was also very relaxing. The only problem was mostly the constant foul smell in our room, since we were only staying for the night, we didn't want to spend too much time worrying about it, but it did ruin our experience a little."

Toyako Onsen Hokkai Hotel

Toyako Onsen Hokkai Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"This seasoned hotel turned out very satisfying to me. Though at one end of the beach park, it boasts a great view, with access to spacious beach front. Just as the picture of its exterior onsen spa shows, you can see the mountain at the far end of the lake. Also the check-in time is not as restrictive as some online review complained (before 6pm) so more flexible for a busy travel schedule. The staff is courteous and responsive to guests' need when they observe it. The only challenge for guests is, lack of Japanese language skills may restrict their communication with the staff. But this creates a real motivation for repeating guests to pick up some common tourist Japanese. And another possible annoyance is the residue smoke smell, if you are really sensitive which I am luckily not. So in short, I would love to stay in this hotel in my next visit to Lake Toya."

Activities like horseback riding and leisurely walks around the picturesque scenery, as well as viewing the magnificent mountains and volcanoes, offer great value for money during your stay.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Toyako, start by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates close to your travel date. Enabling email alerts or push notifications can keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don't miss potential savings. Additionally, you could use the Smart Shopping tool via the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. With these features, you're more likely to be the first to know when prices drop or rooms become available for your getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at a hotel in Toyako. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. 4. Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with higher prices. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the locations you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
