I would give 2.5 / 5
Good:
- Clean room
- Low price for what it offers
- friendly staff
- big bed
- train station nearby
Bad:
- bad matress -> hard one- sleep not the best one
- noisy refrigerator -> disconected mine but could hear neighbours refrigerator
- a bit of mold on walls in bathroom
- tiny space -> I kept my travel bag on "hallway" and I could barely get out of room
- no english for staff
Neutral
- refrigerator and microwave in room (considering space, I would simply remove them)
- baththub to small for "normal people"
- no view - on window one would see a dirty block 2m away -> curtains always

Bad room
The clerks were very nice, but my room was horrible. The room and bathroom has mold.Because I was new to the city and didn't know my way around, I didn't want to make a fuss. I would never stay here again.

Good for business
After staying at livemax for a week, I would say it is good for business purposes : close to the station and a few restaurants, clean and functional with a helpful staff even when there appeared to be a misunderstanding about my non smoking preference. The rooms are small, but it was exactly what I was expecting from a cheap business hotel.

it is what you pay for
It is what you pay for. A small functional space. Great location and really nice part of Tokyo. Long trip from the airport

A little better than a hostel
There was little or no service provided by the hotel. If you needed anything, you had to walk down to the desk. No wi-fi, no iron or ironing boards in room. No room for movement in the room as it is very tiny, etc.

A 5 minute walk from Sagamihara station
For our purpose (visit to Obirin "Oberlin" University), this hotel was in the perfect location to catch the University bus from Sagamihara station. Other than that, the room was overly cramped due to a large refrigerator (it did have a separate freezer, large by hotel standards) with a microwave stacked on top. One chair at a small desk, if someone sat on the chair, climb over the bed to get to the other side. There was a closet big enough to store one of our two 22" bags. Hotel accepts and holds takkubin (parcel/bag delivery when sending ahead) however they do not assist with sending bags ahead to next location - walk across street to Family Mart to send bags (a 22" bag is about $12-$14 and beats taking it on the shinkansen/train/subway during rush time).

Basic Accomodation
Near train station, but far away from any major town. Close to Shibuya but expensive by Train.

Typical cheaper Business Hotel
Had to book here as all affordable hotels closer to Tokyo were booked out in my last minute booking attempt - some holiday festival on at the time? Staff non english speaking, so need translator or they can call a service line and someone will relay your requirements over the phone. Basic room for night, quite a long way from Tokyo, but near a station. Some noodle shops and quicky marts very close for supplies. OK if not going to Tokyo every day - unless you get such a cheap rate to make it worth while.

No Air-conditioning
There simply isnt any AC, despite the description. It was too hot to sleep. And my room smelled like food.

No one in the area speaks English
The room was small which is expected. The bed was uncomfortable and hard. They charge extra if you need more pillows and blankets. No one in the train station nor at the hotel spoke English so it was hard to get help to get around. I had to check out early and move to another hotel where I could get help.
