With the right staff this hotel can be phenomenal! As I walk through the door after a long flight the last thing I want to be is greeted by staff who doesn’t welcome you or explain anything the hotel offers. Breakfast, restaurant, room service, gym and highlight the terrance views from the top floor need to be communicated by staff. Staff was profiling and treating guest differently throughout the stay as well. It saddens me to have brought my mom here and have experienced this in her own country. Management should teach staff that money is no longer branded and that wealth wears flip flops and jeans. The best thing was the double tree cookies she handed over, I wasn’t expecting those.
Took my mom to the buffet to improve the experience for her and show her the view. Was met by a hostess who told us we couldn’t sit outside because the table was reserved and then just left us standing there. And then another hostess came and asked us if we needed a table. We had to ask for our silverware, napkins, coffee and creamer. Nothing was set up nor a menu was given to choose between ala cart or buffet. Better service and food at the market.
