The property is adorable on the outside (can’t beat river front property), and they’ve done a good job photographing the property, but the service for the hotel is somewhat non existent (the restaurant and bar a seem to be the only thing staffed), and the grounds are run down and dirty.
Our room smelled moldy and had multiple spiders. And the speak easy was closed, the hot tub was broken and the espresso machine was broken.
I get that it’s an old river hotel, and part of the charm is old, but I still expect cleanliness and a heads up about multiple amenities being non existent. Small things like clean rooms, service and fixing broken things that are part of the properties allure would go a long way.
