Nice hotel right by the River Kwai and midway between the Bridge and the War Cemetery. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit on the basic side but everything worked and the price was excellent.

Rooms are really great with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are a bit lacking - toilet roll never replenished. Staff are mostly all miserable and angry which was the downside. On our first day we ordered ice coffees to have by the pool, we accidentally knocked over a glass and broke it. The staff member snapped at us saying we would have to pay for it and made us clean it up with our hands, refusing to lend us a dustpan and brush. At the end of our stay we were charged £4 for the glass which is totally ridiculous. Hotel is in beautiful setting by the river. Great location close to lots of bars and shops walking distance to the town. So as long as your are good and don’t do anything naughty to anger the manageress then you’ll have a great time!

The most unfriendly staff I’ve ever met in my trips in Thailand! Rude, not helpful and very unfriendly. First few nights in the first room, air conditioner didn’t work, they promised to fix it, of course nothing happened. My partner washed the filthy filters himself. Had to stay in the area, so my partner book few more nights. He got us better room,with same price I had payed, air conditioner was working now. Then , once again, I booked few more nights because I next trip is postponed, and I asked If we can keep same room my partner had bought. Again, rude laughing, no go, need to go back to that room wich air conditioner is not working. And nothing can be changed, because you booked online! Pity is that place itself is okayish, but staff is horribly rude!

Convenient location but service could be improved.
The GH is OK and in a good central location close to town and main st with many small rest & bars. But the women who run reception & manage the hotel are not so friendly. And they even charge guests 20B for a small bucket of ice.
