Great time away
I would recommend these cabins for anyone wantimg to get a peaceful quiet getaway. Not fancy, and not too rustic. Comfy and cozy. The restaurant next door has good food and friendly service. Nice place!!

Experience the backwoods of Florida
The hotel and restaurant are wonderful. The location is remote so cell phones have a hard time but the rooms have TVs and WiFi. The Restaurant is amazing lots of history the menu includes some great southern food, Free Range Venison with hunter sauce is one of my favs. The location is beside Cross Creek a location to sit and watch a sunset before going to the bar. Be sure to look in the library it is something lots of books, stuffed animals and a canoe. This is a piece of history.

The Yearling Cabins
We stayed here 10/4/24. This cabin was a lovely step into the past. It was VERY clean and quaint. Bed and bedding was super comfortable. Bathroom has original tile which is in great shape and super clean. Little kitchenette has enough for two and is very clean. Small table with 2 chairs and one recliner.
A/C worked great and cooled the whole cabin. One cabin is half of the structure, so if you wanted connecting rooms it could be available.
The property is beautiful. We did not eat at the restaurant. Can’t wait to stay again!

There is a canal off of Cross Creek that allowed us to dock our boat and leave from there to go fish in Orange lake.

An old facility that needs to be demolished. It must have been busy 30 years ago but, time has moved on.

Feces in toilet bowl and urine with toilet paper in there too. The manager was great at communicating but it’s unacceptable. She said the cleaning lady has a son that likes to urinate in the bathrooms when she is cleaning. Does that make sense? I can say a lot of things. Also, the frogs are super loud so if you are okay with that, it can be pretty quaint. I did like the vintage decor, but the bathroom things made me go to a hotel. Manager was going to switch our cabins, but I just cannot after that. Very affordable though! I would recommend for that. What gets me though…. I guess the cleaning lady didn’t get spoken to in the past about her kid. Why is he in the room while she is cleaning??? Nope.
