Negombo, Sri Lanka stay.
In the end, I did not actually stay at the Oneli Guest House. The owner contacted me and explain that he was having a “water” issue. He arranged for me to stay at another guest house nearby for the same price. Guest house driver was waiting for me at airport for my late night flight and took me to the guest house. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. I appreciate Oneli’s proactive efforts to ensure I had a place to stay after traveling for 18 hours. Included breakfast was very nice.

Mark the wonderful host met us at the airport and made the experience all the better. We arrived late and made sure we had everything we needed before we went to bed. In the morning he made us a delicious Sri Lankan style breakfast. Would highly recommend Oneli Residence, a great start to our Sri Lankan Adventure

A fantastic find - highly recommended
With a late flight into Colombo we didn’t want to travel far and so booked to stay at the Oneli Residence. What a great find! As pre-arranged Mark, the owner, met us at the airport but what we didn’t expect was that he would also be serving us a traditional breakfast the following morning before giving us an impromptu transfer to Habarana and tour of the ruins at Poḷonnaruwa. It was our first time in Sri Lanka and we feel lucky to have been welcomed so warmly by Mark and his family. I’d highly recommend staying here and asking Mark about the tours he can also offer.

Nice clean property
A nice property, spacious room and very clean. The bathroom was next to my room, and again was clean and well equipped. There is a communal kitchen/living area as well. Wifi is provided although it was slow. The location is not correct on the map you provide, although the owner said he would be trying to get this updated following my complaint. On the map it shows as outside Negombo station, whereas it is actually 5 to 10 minutes walk from the beach. The owner provided an airport transfer for a fee, despite the fact that my flight was early. I would stay here again.

Mark ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber und hilft dir bei allen Fragen gerne weiter! Das hausgemachte Frühstück ist der Wahnsinn!! Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und liegt keine 10 Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt! Das Badezimmer hat eine abgetrennte Duschkabine, was für Sri Lanka sicher erwähnenswert ist :)!

夜遅くに到着しましたが、オーナーは起きて待っててくれました。 翌日の移動の際、スリーウィラーを予約してくれましたが、相場の2倍の金額でした。 スリランカ到着後、相場が分からなかったこちらにも非がありますが、親切だっただけに残念です。 設備は新しくとても清潔です。
