Great Stay
Really nice and comfortable room. Everything required for a nice stay. Let down by guaranteeing a 2 hour later than normal checkout - Ness Walk didn’t know anything about this. Wouldn’t recommend breakfast either, thought it was horrific for 5* hotel.

Weekend break
Stayed 2 nights and everything from check in to check out went well. Dined in on the Saturday night and enjoyed the food and service. Location good, nice walk into town centre along the side of the river. Only downside i would say was the parking charge of £15 per night but i would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Very disappointing stay
Breakfast first day, great helpful staff, breakfast 2nd day was awful, we wanted a table for 5, only table available was reserved, funny how that happened when you can’t book breakfast times at the moment, they did get us a table, after a wait, our waiter came for take our drinks order, but didn’t ask if anyone wanted toast, for our drinks, one teapot had clumpy coffee granules in it, to which our waiter said it was tea leaves that had burst, no leaves and no hole in the bag, we needed a clean cup and saucer as another one had a dirty cup and saucer, our breakfast finally came out, one was stone cold and one bean pot was congealed and un-appealing, still no toast, we finally had to ask for toast, so overall not a great experience for a 5 star hotel, we have been to this hotel many times, sadly this was our last time

Another disappointing stay
We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and have taken into account that the service hasn’t been at acceptable level due to covid, in the past, but you can only use this as an excuse for so long. We have visited 11 hotels this year and this is the only one struggling to function at the standard you would expect. The breakfast staff are disorganised and bordering on rude. Upon arriving at breakfast we were told that we couldn’t be seated because the larger tables had been reserved in a restaurant where reservations aren’t a possibility but we were welcome to take a seat in the lounge until they see if they could find one for us. On our second day almost every cup, saucer and teapot had dirty stains on them, with one of our party pouring tea and getting lumps of congealed coffee in the cup from a pot that clearly hadn’t been washed. Rather than just apologising and replacing them the waiter though it would be a good idea to stand and argue with us at the table about whether the thick brown lumps that smelled like coffee was indeed that or a split teabag that had got caught in the spout. The food produced after a long wait was poorly executed on both mornings. Despite the strange combinations it lacks taste and seasoning. The hot plates make no difference to the cold food being served. The bar staff we abit more attentive but we’re clearly overwhelmed Checkout was delightful with a card machine being pushed at me without so much as a good morning
