was a welcome addition as it was very hot when we arrived.
The dinner and breakfast were good.
There seemed to be a problem with the doors to the rooms which people kept banging to get them to close. Added to that someone managed to open our door when we were almost asleep and the hotel dog ran into our room. Very disconcerting and not condusive to a good nights sleep."

"A stunning view of the Douro valley. We had an excellent dinner. One needs to make reservations beforehand to eat there. There is nowhere else in the area to dine. We were not given a dinner option however, the roast beef dinner was excellent as well as the dessert.
The car ride up is a bit sketchy because it’s a VERY narrow to lane road winding up a Mt !! However the view makes the trip most worthwhile. Bedroom was nicely decorated and comfy. "

and views were incredible. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Overall a wonderful stay.
It is about halfway between peso de régua and pinhão; about a 40 minute drive from each. The train stop is very close though. "

is gorgeous. We were told we had a room with a view. We actually had a room with no windows, only a side door that opened onto a patio which had gorgeous views, but not the room itself. Breakfast in the morning was excellent served on the patio. The room had spotty wifi. Better wifi was available in the public living room. The property is far from almost everything. To get to it are a lot of narrow, winding roads. The...

"Excellent stay at the hotel, a great place if you're looking for peace, quiet and relaxation. We enjoyed a lovely week in a very spatious and comfortable room, within a few steps of the pools and spa. Sunny mornings and warm evenings of august, enjoying breakfasts and dinners with a great view, our kids loved it and so did we :)"
