"Staff were super friendly and helpful and called before our arrival to make sure that the right type of room was being reserved for us, and then checked in again on arrival day, to see if we wanted any food pre-ordered before the restaurant closed (as we were arriving late evening). Really helpful and thoughtful. The room was super comfortable, clean and up to date. Would definitely stay again, if we are back in the area."

"Lovely hotel with lovely traditional decor. We had a room with the beautiful lake view. Spacious, very clean room & bathroom. All Staff very helpful. Davinia, Dave & Alex at reception very nice & friendly. Food was Very good. Special thanks to waiter Andrew who brought us a plate saying "happy 40th anniversary" in chocolate. Spa & pool was lovely and relaxing. Boat cruise to Bowness was also relaxing and very interesting. "
