Not as advertised
When you book an adjoining 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids,.one would expect a door between the two rooms! Apparently they don't have that set up in the hotel although it's published in hotels.com

One Light Switch To Rule Them All
The location was good because it is about a 10 minute walk to the subway station. The pillows were either too bulky or too soft but at least they had options. The toilet paper was a little too rough for my preference but I get it is more eco-friendly. You can take a nice bath in the bathtub after a cold day (just gotta buy your own bath soap at a store). We especially liked the light switch right by the bed that turns off all the lights so you don’t have to get up.

Got a room for a really good price, the room I stayed in was good for 1 to 2 people that are traveling light (2 small or medium luggage), the room was clean, friendly staff, 5-15min walk to restaurants and shops. The shower head was a bit different from what I'm used to but didn't bother me much, just need it to spray clean water anyway. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend if you want something close to the station

The hotel is a historic landmark. The location is very convenient, next to the JR station. There are many restaurants nearby and the hotel offers a wonderful breakfast.

I don't plan on going there again.
If it's your first time here, it'll be hard to find from Umeda Station, and the Wi-Fi in the room often disconnects. I don't plan on going there again.

Very weird hotel. Gave off serious ‘The Shining’ vibes inside. On the 8F in the courtyard is a full on Stone Chapel. Staff seemed nice, hotel very dated and rooms also very dated. Not as many amenities as all the other hotels I’ve used in Japan.
Hotel was very good for transport as it’s right next to Osaka Station west gate. Which gives direct access to the Osaka Loop line. Only thing is it’s so close to the station that you can hear the trains from your room.

old style hotel. We enjoyed the very big rooms (for japan). The front entrance is hidden around a back street which backs onto the trainline. I think the trains and the modern skyscrapers grew around this older hotel. Staff are polite.
Breakfast is surprising expensive... I think its a signature meal for this resturant... we didn't pay for it.
Hotel also has Japanese/French restuarants.
This is within walkable distance to Osaka Station.. where there are a lot of resturants.

The only thing I didn't like was the location of the room lights. It's a small, non-descript button on the front of the night stand. Not a huge deal, but it took entirely too long for me to figure out how to turn the room lights off for the night. The 2nd hotel we stayed at was the same so maybe it's typical for hotels in Japan.
