Cairo is hailed for its museums and entertainment while top attractions include Giza Pyramid Complex. This historical city has something for everyone including its castle, cafes, and sights like Tahrir Square and Egyptian Museum.
Cairo is a very safe place, safer than many European cities I have been to. People are kind and helpful, but vendors are aggressive in their sales tactics, and take advantage of tourists, and this gets exhausting. AVOID taxis, and use Uber instead.

Cairo is a frenetic but incredible city. The Pyramids were as spectacular as everyone says but we were surprised at the beauty of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The artifacts are of course incredible but the museum's design is a work of art as well.

Loved the people, the food, the ancient monuments, the Nile, the museums, the churches, but be careful to ask prices in the market, have some change at hand for tipping in mosques and washrooms.

Don't forget to visit the "People of Egypt Walkway". There is an entrance right across from the Hotel. Beautiful views over the Nile and lots of dining opportunities.

Chaotic, crowded, fascinating, city in the historic center of civilization. Powerful and important for westerners to visit.

It's a very noisy city, with a lot of traffic, where it's difficult to cross the streets but the people is kind and you don't see them fighting when they are driving. Everything flows at their own rhythm, but it's worth to explore it.

Beautiful city, delicious food but very loud traffic and smoking is allowed everywhere. I prefer river traffic that has loud music from boat traffic, instead of constant beeping and accidents from car traffics.

Of course taxis are eay and cheap but the metro is quick and safe to avoid the inevitable traffic jams.

Love Cairo . Amazing new freeways connecting Cairo and Giza since last visit and much much less rubbish. Adored the Civilisation Museum Rude box office man at GEM. Asking guide to pay outrageous and 'unexpected'. Tut room should have still been open

I wasvworking here for 20 years, and this trip was a revisit. Road infrastructure has vastly improved, but the traffic is still horrendous. If you're visiting google the metro and try to use it, it's the quickest way to get around. Be adventurous
"Absolutely amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. I want to give a special shout-out to Mohamad at the reception bar — I had an issue with my suitcase not opening, and as soon as I mentioned it, he immediately asked me to bring it over. He managed to open it right away and even offered me a lock from his own pocket. Such kindness and helpfulness are truly rare!
The hotel is extremely safe, spotlessly clean, and the food is delicious. Don’t miss the breakfast — it’s one of the best I’ve ever had!
Highly recommended in every way. I would definitely come back!"
"An amazing hotel property near the airport but you’d never know. It’s is quiet as a mouse! The staff is amazing. The restaurants have amazing food! Could not have been happier with our stay!"
