The elevators!
The history behind this hotel was interesting and the fact that they kept the original elevators!! That was an amazing experience. The only thing that was a bit difficult was the parking situation but other than that, amazing place to stay!

Weekend in the Palihotel
Our stay was exciting. We were close to eateries and the freeways. The bar had great hamburger and drink specials. The rooms were nice and clean. The frig had treats to buy and was fully stocked.

Palihotels are some of the most stunning and it’s always a fantastic experience. The comfiest bed I have ever slept in, incredible food, and attention to detail that makes all the difference.

C
Really cute and nice hotel with a wonderful roof-top lounge area. No service up there however really nice furniture and views. Our room was nice as well however windows facing inside the building which did not provide much light. We did not use a lot of time in our rooms but it had all amenities and we enjoyed our time there. The bar/restaurant was a nice area to sit and enjoy a drink or dinner. Would come back if ever in San Diego again.
Tonie, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Our room was very very cute! The entire aesthetic of the building was adorable. However, the elevators (all though so cool) aren’t the most user friendly and our room was right by the elevator which had a very loud door, we could also hear all the outside noise keeping me up all night but it is downtown so bound to happen. I was mostly disappointed that our shower didn’t drain at all

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The hotel decor is stunning, the hotel staff were extremely friendly, check-in took us less than 10 minutes, and the hotel is in a very convenient location, with restaurants and bars all around. We would definitely stay here again!

Weekend get away
My wife and I stayed for a weekend. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. My wife loved the ascetic and decor. The lobby was really nice and they would have lemonade and sweet tea set up sometimes. The elevator is from 1913 so it’s a little small and kinda loud but I would recommend staying here. The staff was great and helpful. Parking can be difficult to find but we were always able to find a spot near by.
Mitchell, 3-night trip

Cute and Clean
The hotel was fun, the elevator was the original from 1913! Only one was working so sometimes you had to wait quite awhile. Our room was small but clean, cute and comfy! Only complaint was it was quite loud at night, you could a lot of noise from the street below. We were on the 7th floor.
Scott, 1-night trip

Excellently curated and crafted rooms, caring service, with St. James, a decadent French restaurant next door.
