Beautifully Appointed, Friendly Welcome, Great Cof
The Dalmore Lodge Guest House was great. We received a really friendly welcome from Iain, the room was very well appointed and comfortable with a private bathroom, breakfast was well made with a reasonable range of options and good coffee. What really impressed me was the size and quality of the room - everything was very tasteful and we even had a small balcony which we sat out on on the Saturday evening (as long as the weather permitted!) It is close to an excellent Chinese restaurant (Cool Jade - go, seriously) and is directly opposite Edinburgh Zoo, however if I was to make one observation it's that there didn't seem to be much else in the immediate vicinity by way of diversion or restaurants. However as we were largely there on business it was a great base to access the city centre, and I'd have absolutely no hesitation staying there again. Iain very kindly allowed us to use their car park while we went to the zoo after we checked out, and this is one example of the great customer service that was the hallmark of our stay.

Weekend in Edinburgh
We had a very comfortable stay with Iain and Dot and were made very welcome, so much so, have already booked our next stay with them. The decor is of a very good standard, comfortable beds and excellent food.

A Gem perfect for visiting the zoo
We stayed here on friday night before we planned on visiting the zoo, which is literally on the doorstep. The manager was charming and made every effort to make our stay as best he could. The room was stunning and breakfast was top notch. Will deffinetly want to come back next year

Well priced and well located!
Very good location, directly across the road from the zoo. 15 mins on a bus from Edinburgh city centre, with buses running every 5 mins even at unsociable times which was very handy. Owners were very pleasant and helped us with bus info and the property itself although small, was very well maintained and no street noise could be heard. Would definitely stay here when visiting Edinburgh again.

Well worth a stay
We needed some where close to the corn exchange and easy to get to and it was perfect. For anyone who wants to go to the zoo it's directly across the road or there's a bus stop outside that will take you to the airport or the one across the road will take you into Edinburgh center. Lovely breakfast and very comfy beds :) .

10/10 Amazing!
Proximity to Zoo, and also Edinburgh airport, is amazing for anyone flying into the city specifically to see the pandas (as we did). The breakfast is without doubt one of the best I have ever had in a Guest House. The room was absolutely amazing, and the en suite was incredible! The House itself was immaculate and I would have no hesitation to recommend, as we are already thinking of any excuse to return to Edinburgh so we can stay again!

Superb guest house well situated and very friendly
Absolutely excellent stay. We were both made to feel very welcome and my only mystery is why we have not stayed at this little gem of guest house before. Exactly across the road from Edinburgh Zoo and perfect for bus stop for the airport bus to and from airport and easy access into the heart of the city. Very homely welcome feeling at Dalmore. Enjoyed chatting with co-owner Iain over the home cooked breakfast. HIGHLY recommended. Absolutely no negatives whatsoever in any way. Every aspect of stay was positive.
