Coffee shops double as area living rooms where locals work on screenplays over pour-overs. Dining options range from taco trucks to farm-to-table bistros, with excellent vegan fare. Getting around is easiest on foot or bike, though metro buses connect to city centre LA and Hollywood.

Westwood
Westwood buzzes with collegiate energy, where UCLA's sprawling campus meets the charm of Westwood Village. Catch a basketball game at Pauley Pavilion, browse thought-provoking exhibits at the Hammer Museum, or catch a film at the historic Fox Theatre. The tree-lined streets blend student hangouts with sophisticated spots that attract both campus crowds and culture seekers. Dining options range from casual student favourites to upscale restaurants along Wilshire Boulevard, with a notable concentration of Persian eateries. Though parking can be tricky, the area is wonderfully walkable with excellent bus connections to greater Los Angeles. Accommodation vary from luxury high-rises to boutique properties perfect for university visitors.

Koreatown
Koreatown serves up a feast for all your senses with Korean BBQ joints that sizzle late into the night. Karaoke lounges and traditional jjimjilbangs (Korean spas) keep the energy flowing 24/7. The iconic Wiltern Theatre anchors this cultural hotspot while Koreatown Plaza buzzes with shoppers hunting for authentic Korean goods. Korean American National Museum adds a dash of cultural depth to your visit. Dining options range from hole-in-the-wall gems to upscale Korean fusion spots where the kimchi never disappoints. Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport by IHG
"The staff were polite and friendly."
The Biltmore Los Angeles
"Historical hotel, very nice and well preserved."
Moxy Downtown Los Angeles
"Beautiful hotel, rooms are really small but overall design and view still well worth the price! Will definitely be back. Having access to Level 8 was also a huge perk! Party all night long!! Great place to visit, but if you’re looking for quiet this is not the place. The music is going until 2am, so if you’re trying to have quiet sleep, not going to happen. I loved it because I was there to party!! Great drinks, great staff, and delicious food!"
Hilton Garden Inn LAX Los Angeles Airport
"Clean room"
Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel
"We ended up staying here unexpectedly after missing our connecting flight at LAX, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel was extremely convenient to the airport, and the shuttle made getting back and forth very easy. The room was clean and comfortable, but the front desk service really stood out. The woman who helped us was incredibly kind and understanding of our situation and even went above and beyond by complimentary upgrading us to a suite. After a stressful travel day, that kindness really made a difference. We really appreciated the hospitality and would definitely consider staying here again!"
Hyatt Place LAX/Century Blvd
"We were lucky that they allowed for early check in as we just drove 4 hours with our kids. They were very accommodating and helpful. Great breakfast selection."
Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza
"The staff was more than helpful and it was a wonderful surprise when a hotel staff went out of their way to provide us unexpected free perks. I 100% recommend staying at Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza"
InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown by IHG
"Have stayed a bunch of times at IHG DTLA, the security, friendliness and cleanliness are some of the reasons of returning. The guests I found at IHG DTLA can sometimes be the problem, they seem to be in a hurry and yet they are in a Hotel, so its a distraction but it doesn't take away from the Hotels experience 5 stars, I personally looked for a longer stay but at this time the prices were a tad high.....shout out to Angel and all the front desk squad, very professional"
The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, Los Angeles
"The hotel is within walking distance of Crypto arena and Westfield mall. It is a good location for visiting Dodger's stadium, Hollywood Bowl, and the Sunset strip."

For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and could offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you discover a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Los Angeles's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that is still well connected.
