Hotel Besso
"My train was mega delayed and the reception staff, was very kind.Processed my check in fast and gave me a bottle of water. Comfy bed with ,huge balcony. Recommend 100%"
Hotel Lido Seegarten
"The location of the hotel was good. Easy to get to Lugano Centre by Line 2 Bus. The bus was SO reliable & came every 20 minutes. The room had a great view of the lake but was not well equipped re power points. The bathroom was excellent. I thought for an expensive hotel it was a bit much to charge you if you wanted a cooked omelette or eggs fried or poached. Most hotels offer this. The evening meal was excellent. I loved my veal & it had beautiful tasty accompaniments. The hotel provided the Ticino Card which meant bus Transport was free."

A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal to explore the city's key cultural and historical landmarks, as well as its museums, cafes, and walking routes, ensuring visitors experience a blend of romantic and family-friendly attractions. This period presents an affordable opportunity to enjoy Lugano's shopping districts, dining experiences, and even the picturesque lake views, all while keeping expenses in check.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers enticing options for Lugano travellers. By exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section, you may discover discounted hotel stays, while the Last-Minute Deals area could find you special offers as your travel date nears. For added convenience, enable email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app assists in comparing hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to spot an opportune moment for a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal for your stay in a hotel in Lugano. If you're seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we can inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable.
- Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre usually command higher prices, yet thanks to Lugano's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those inclined to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even relatively unknown nearby towns, there is frequently excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
