The Angel Hotel
"Overall the hotel is good but the rooms are aged and could do with updating. Fix the A/C"
Days Inn by Wyndham Bridgend Cardiff M4
"For the price, the hotel is reasonable. Having plug sockets near the bed would have been useful. Breakfast isn't really worth it. You get a small box of juice, a roll or croissant and some jam/butter. There's a Sainsbury's less than 5 minutes away where you can get breakfast. On checking in, we were asked what time we liked to have the breakfast box. On both occasions, we had to go to the main reception as no-one brought the breakfast to us (as was previously advised). I'm not sure what the purpose of requesting a breakfast time if you're not going to bring it then."
The Parkgate Hotel
"Lovely room. Lovely Hotel building feeling luxurious. We added breakfast for a reduced £18pp on arrival. Breakfast was nice but not spectacular. I wouldn't have been happy if we had paid £28 ph which was the usual price. But £28 was reasonable. Lovely stay on the whole."
The Coach & Horses Hotel
"Very clean rooms, would highly recommend"
Cardiff Marriott Hotel
"Great Hotel, great area and really polite and helpful staff, thanks for a lovely stay 👍"
Village Hotel Cardiff
"Bbbbb"
Park Plaza Cardiff
"We booked an Executive room and a Standard room for a combined 10 room nights and were very pleased overall. A big positive was being given rooms next to each other, allowing our three children to share the Executive room while we were next door. We had requested this but received no confirmation beforehand, so it was reassuring to see the hotel had taken care of it. Both rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were excellent, Wi-Fi reliable and air-conditioning effective. Traffic noise was hardly noticeable, although some sound carried from adjoining rooms. Housekeeping was consistently excellent; the cleaning staff were particularly polite and considerate. Surprisingly, there was no shaver socket, so we could not charge our electric toothbrush. The location is superb. We skipped hotel breakfast and enjoyed the excellent choice of nearby cafés and restaurants. Paid parking is directly opposite, with a convenient unloading bay outside. The pool was the highlight: never crowded, ideal for children, with excellent water temperature and quality. The changing rooms could use modernisation, with some missing dispensers and a few showers not getting warm enough. Staff were excellent overall. Our only disappointment was the manager refusing a one-hour late checkout despite the room appearing available. Not an entitlement, but after a substantial stay, some flexibility would have been appreciated. We would definitely return."
The Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel
"Beautiful hotel set in lovely countryside. The room was spacious and a fan had been provided as it was another hot summers day. We had evening drinks in the garden before dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and breakfast the next morning was plentiful and equally tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We'd definitely recommend a stay here."
Four Points Flex by Sheraton Cardiff
"Staff was very helpful in answering questions and arranged our taxi from the hotel to the airport. Location is very close to train station and walking distance to Cardiff Castle, restaurants, and many other amenities. The room was comfortable and very clean. Bed was good and the air conditioning appreciated."

This duration offers a great opportunity to explore historical sites like the local castle, enjoy the scenic natural parks, and engage with the friendly community, all while experiencing the rich culture and sporting activities that Bridgend has to offer. With the potential for lower prices during these months, it’s a fantastic choice for those seeking great value for money.

For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised touch and sometimes better value. - Consider your location: Staying near major attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it usually comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing cost with ease of access to the places you intend to visit. You might also explore independent hotels further afield, which can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
