The room was decent for its price, it has full kitchen which was a plus. Otherwise the place would have been just ordinary motel. The staff were friendly & accommodating. There were homeless people roaming in the parking lot, people who are not staying in the motel can easily access the motel rooms. There was a person (probably not one of the renters) went upstairs & tried to turn the doorknobs of 2 rooms. Fortunately the rooms were locked. If it was unlocked, who knows what he was planning to do. There are Ring cameras facing the parking lot, but I didn’t see any camera facing the hallways or rooms; to monitor for any trespassers.

I slept better here than I do at home. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. Everything was exceptionally clean, especially being that it is an older building. There is cosmetic wear and tear on the walls and doors, but nothing that impacted my stay. All the appliances worked and the bed was perfectly soft and comfortable. The staff was the best part. So friendly and accommodating. For the price, this was the best value around and I can't wait to come back.

First of all it was a last minute booking as Super 6/Vagabond Inn in Carp cancelled my reservation and said a lie that they were full. So I was scrambling to find a room that was affordable for Memorial Day weekend. I found a suite on Expedia for Bay Shore Inn. I booked and then called to make sure the attendant got the booking. Dillion the son of the owners answered. He was awesome!! So friendly, helpful and even suggested must eat places near the hotel for breakfast. I gave him an earful of what just happened an hour earlier about my hotel being cancelled and he was so helpful and said if there is any extra towels or anything to make my stay better to let him know. Dillon even gave me the cutest Ventura sticker. Now that is a welcome! The beds are brand new and so comfortable as well as the bedding. Hot water!! Super hot and high water pressure. I am in heaven. The hotel is in a quiet place of Ventura and I heard 0 noise all night. I come to Ventura/Carp 2-3x a year to see friends. I am only going to stay here going forward !!

I stayed here two different time in two different rooms. Great people at the front desk on either side of a backpacking trip to the Channel Islands. The rooms are not fancy, but they are clean, safe, and the beds are comfortable. The motel is off the main street, but the parking is enclosed by the motel's buildings and it looks like there are cameras aimed at the parking lot. I was driving my work truck with tools, so this was a perk for me. Excellent value and friendly staff/owners.
