Learn more about Tamarindo
Catch perfect waves on Tamarindo Beach where surfers of all levels ride alongside locals who've mastered these Pacific swells for generations. After conquering the ocean, watch leatherback turtles nest at nearby Marino Las Baulas National Park during their seasonal migration. The beachfront promenade buzzes with open-air restaurants serving fresh ceviche and tropical cocktails as the sun sets. Book a catamaran cruise to spot dolphins playing in the golden afternoon light. Beyond surfing, try zip-lining through the rainforest canopy or horseback riding along Grande Beach's pristine shoreline. Despite its popularity, quiet corners still exist – ask about Playa Langosta for a more secluded stretch of sand away from the main tourist flow.

Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort
"Great surprise. They make everyone feel special. Carlos at the front desk was very helpful and engaged everyone expecting any request. He’s a real asset to the property"
In the Shade Hotel - Coworking - Adults Only
"I wish there were more rating stars available. I stayed for about 8 nights in a ground floor room that had a nice outside kitchen. The owner and managers were extremely welcoming, friendly, and informative. They made my visit to Tamarindo very low-stress and enjoyable. The meals were affordable and delicious (awesome chicken tacos!)! On one occasion, the manager cooked a lunch for me when the kitchen was officially closed! The room was clean and everything worked well."

"Staff is very friendly and the ac was cold enough."
Ten North Tamarindo Beach Hotel
"We had a great trip. The front desk was very helpful with recommendations on what to do and where to eat. The noise machine in the room was really nice. The area felt very secure. We liked the outside shower to wash the sand off of our feet,"

"Me gusto mucho"
Cala Luna Boutique Hotel & Villas
"Great supportive staff. Breakfast was good"
Jardín del Edén Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"The staff is very nice people. The food is very good 10/10. Very quiet place too . If you are looking for a quiet spot just for you and your partner book this place but , of you looking for a big ambiance party place then look for something else."
The Coast Beachfront Hotel
"We loved our stay at the beachfront hotel! The staff was very nice and it was a perfect location to walk to downtown Tamarindo when it was nice weather, or just a short drive. There were a lot of ants in our room, but that is probably just the norm. We wish the paddle boards and surfboards were a little bit better kept, as there was only one paddle for the paddle boards, and it broke within a few minutes of using it. A few of the surfboards definitely needed some maintenance as well. The breakfast every morning was very nice, and we would definitely stay here again!"
JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa
"Property was very clean, and staff were very friendly. We had a great view of the ocean from our room. We did have an intruder (Racoon) enter our room through the balcony door and open the bar fridge and stole a bag of peanuts. We learned that we needed to keep our balcony door locked and not just closed! However, we will definitely go back! Food and drinks are a little pricey!"
