Not happy.
I checked in a little earlier than usual, at 12 noon but was told that the additional charge would be £25 instead of the £15 that was earlier announced. I was very disappointed with that. Is this common practise?

Woyld stay again due to the location and if cheap
Overall I was happy with the stay. Room was clean and bed was very comfy. Loved the lights in the room. You can change lights to different colours and deem them. Double room is very small though and I would imagine it would be difficult to move around the room for 2 people. I found pillows very thick as I am used to very thin. I ended up sleeping on a bath towel instead as couldn't be bothered to go to reception in a middle of the night to ask if they can provide thinner ones. Hot water in a shower was not as hot. So I couldnt enjoy the hot shower in a morning as I planned. It also took around 4 hours for room to warm up to 24 degrees. Considering that the room is tiny I was quite surprised. Noted that the aircon/heating unit's filter looked very dusty.. maybe service is over due. It was veey quite in a hotel and the staff I met was friendly.

The stay was fine, however staying in the basement room with no window is very disturbing to me. After leaving we felt a little tired maybe because there's no natural light. However, the bed is cozy and the shower is delightful. The lady at the front desk is also very good at her job
