A uniquely perfect combination of all the things you would want for a "home away from home" when travelling, from the facilities to the location and the welcoming warm and relaxing atmosphere to all the people that host/work there :)

It was a great place to party for the young international people! I met some great young adults enjoying them selves. As a older traveler I found it to be refreshing! The customers were very respectful and caring of each others wellbeing! I loved my short stay! I was well rested and recharged! and

Do not stay there! The girl has a Attitude
My stay was an horrendous experience at the hostel. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. The girl at the desk was so rude with a horrible attitude! Her personality was real non professional. She do not need to be working with the public.

On a fluke
Very nice the third floor is a little difficult however very nice. I was especially enjoyed the front porch time in the morning. I usually had it to myself. It’s nice and quiet and centrally located, but there is nothing other than a Burger King for coffee and a quick breakfast
Jack, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

If you don’t mind sharing a room with up to nine others, this hostel is an excellent deal. Bed was comfortable, kitchen area was clean and welcoming, outside courtyard is pleasant. Well located one block off St. Charles streetcar line, close to local restaurants and Mardi Grad parade route. Volunteer staff person (Maelle) was particularly delightful and helpful.

Clean, comfortable, and friendly hostel. Bunk beds were cushy, bathroom was immaculate! It even came with a super friendly porch cat! Staff was helpful in tips to get around. Cafe Porche across the lot was delicious.

10/10 Exceptional

Beds were very comfortable. The property is a little bit away from all of the site. Guests were nice but securing bathroom time in the morning can be a challenge.

This house is beautiful! I stayed in the top floor private room, it was quiet and felt like home. It was so clean and thoughtfully furnished. I wished I could stay longer. The staff were kind and helpful. One of the first questions they asked is what I wanted out of my visit, and they responded accordingly.
Ruth, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I stayed at this hostel during my recent trip, and unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. The issue stemmed from the behavior of the receptionist, who openly expressed Zionist views. As a Lebanese guest, I felt deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout my stay, especially when my nationality was brought into the conversation. Rather than fostering an inclusive and safe environment, the receptionist’s attitude made me feel unsafe and on edge during my entire time at the hostel. A place of accommodation should prioritize creating a neutral, respectful space for travelers from all backgrounds, but this was not the case here. This experience significantly impacted my trip, and I cannot recommend this hostel to anyone seeking a welcoming and respectful stay. I urge management to address this issue seriously and ensure their staff maintain a professional and inclusive attitude towards all guests.

Mardi Gras WINNER!
A really good experience. Felt very safe, as a solo, female traveler. The owner and staff I really committed to guests, comfort, and worked really hard to create an option of community. Setting up a shade cover, and such for the parades on Saint Charles, and creating opportunities to go out with a group.

4/10 Fair

I would like a refund and I did not stay the night
Francisco, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

It was clean and is located in an area where many attractions are nearby. What I didn't like was the loud music and noise throughout the night. Also, one of the staff memers had a really funky attitude when I returned to pick up a bag that I accidentally left behind. I won't be staying there again. I wouldn't stay there if you value getting a good night's sleep.
