"Our second stay at this fabulous property. A lovely upscale place just off the 101, perfect when traveling but would love to spend a little time there. Close to Santa Barbara and Ventura with a lovely little town down the street with shops, coffee and a great restaurant. A must stay! "

"Nice bed and breakfast type inn. The house is old but very well-built, so it's pretty sound proof between rooms. The room was very well maintained as well.
The breakfast and the option to dine in the room makes a comfortable morning.

The room with the skylight windows did make me wake up much earlier than intended because of the brightness. Something to consider if you are interested in that room. Might work for early birds."

"We recently stayed at Mattei's Tavern for 5 days to celebrate our 40th anniversary. I don't know how to describe how perfect our stay was! Our room was glorious ...the bedding was so luxurious and comfortable. The food, wine and service was spectacular. Everything in town was walkable. The pool area at Mattei's was beautiful and the perfect spot to relax. We will be back! "
