Noida Hotels

With tranquil parks, wide boulevards and clean, oxygen-rich air, it’s hard to believe that Noida is just a couple of miles away from the rumbling, honking chaos of New Delhi. It’s a haven for big businesses, but only those who have zero-pollution policies. It’s a fun, commercial place, with vast shopping malls and entertainment venues, but it is also rich in natural spaces. This is the dream town of new India, and so far, it seems to be working splendidly.

Things to see

Enjoy a wander around the pleasant streets of the city centre, where you can peruse shops and pause for coffee at quirky, modern cafés, where young entrepreneurs are busy on laptops, and groups meet to discuss the latest cultural goings-on in the city. You’ll also find contemporary art galleries, such as the Stupa 18 Gallery, which exhibits and sells the work of local artists. A short metro ride to Sector 38 provides leisure activities to keep the whole family happy. The Botanical Gardens here offer a calming, beautiful place for a stroll amid fragrant blooms and ferny fronds, while the nearby Noida Golf Course provides an attractive fairway for all handicaps. If golf’s not your thing, you can find other diversions at the Great India Place, one of the largest shopping malls in the country, which features a glut of eateries and a huge multiplex cinema, alongside traditional retail therapy.

Hotels in Noida

Most of the hotels in Noida are sleek and modern in design, and fitted out with modern amenities – you’ll be hard pushed to find even a budget hotel in Noida without fast WiFi or flat-screen TV. Most also have fridges or minibars within the rooms. A selection of big brand, luxury hotels are on offer here too, where you can treat yourself to spa treatments, saunas, and room service at any time, day or night.

Where to stay

The majority of Noida’s luxury hotels are located close to the river, just opposite New Delhi. The attractions of Sector 38, including the Great India Place and Noida Golf Course, are within close proximity, and the area is buzzing with restaurants and bars. You can easily reach central New Delhi on the metro. Most of the mid-range and budget hotels are located further to the east, in more residential areas. Here, you will be well connected to the rest of Noida and New Delhi by metro or bus. In Greater Noida, to the south, there are a couple of luxury resort hotels.

How to get to Noida

As it is located just outside India’s capital city, and within its metropolitan area, Noida benefits from excellent transport links. From the main Indira Ghandi International Airport, there are numerous transport options to reach Noida. The fast, efficient metro is a good choice; you just need to change at the main New Delhi station. Allow about 90 minutes for the journey. Alternatively, you can take a licensed airport taxi or hire a car. Once in Noida, the metro is one of the best ways of getting around, and also for trips into New Delhi. There’s also a comprehensive bus network.
