was a very nice extra which we didn't know about beforehand. Breakfast was ample, but missing vegan options. Courtyard was very nice for drinks.
Location of the hotel was great, just a few blocks away from the amazing city park and there are plenty of buses to whisk you to the closest metro/tram.
Room was very nice, if a little worn out. But that's what you can expect from a little aged hotel. It did get very warm in the room...

"Stayed a night and was comfortable.
Staffs were kind, food was great(dinner with fish fillets, grilled chicken were great, breakfast buffet was with plenty of options with good quality foods).
The room was roomy. The building was getting old needing some upgrades but overall, good value.

"The hotel has been recently renovated (2025) and therefore the interior and rooms are in a great shape. Also the location is good. With nice views on the danube and the green Margit Island and the beautiful Buda hills.

The SPA
area is nice and really good with little children , however it would need renovation as well.

"Loved my stay at the Dorothea! Friendly and welcoming staff, reception staff were always willing to help us with any queries. The room was lovely and had stunning views from the balcony unto the garden/ restaurant area.
