Dusseldorf is a fantastic city for shopping, eating and drinking and culture vultures. There's something for everyone on any budget. I visit often and prefer it to the UK.

Altstadt is a great area for food and bars. Promenade is close by. Really lively city. Just don't get hungry after a 10pm as most places close.

We lived in Dússeldorf for 25 years prior to moving to California. The newer architecture is nice. The only downside is what changed in many areas /cities/train stations, the maintenance of the infrastructure has room for improvement.

New Year's eve in Germany is very busy and there are lots of people out on the streets! People tend to let off fireworks all over the place, but the Christmas markets and bars are very welcoming!

We were there for a Football game and it's an awesome party town. Great weekend
"Absolutely fantastic, from a seasoned traveller this was a tremendous hotel for the price paid. Can’t comment on the food as we ate out but room spotless and pool a lovely bonus. Don’t believe the negative reviews and give it a try!"
" Very friendly and helpful staff
Manisha provided exceptional service and support, she’s very attentive and absolutely great at what she does.
The location is great just 3 min from HB station. Super clean, specious and sound proof rooms with comfortable bed and qualify linen.
Bathroom, shower and kitchenette also super clean and well equipped. I had a wonderful stay for 9 days and happy to come back at anytime. "
"Düsseldorf is NOT a City in Germany to visit, unless you need to go for working or in business trip. The Steigenberger hotel is very well located, walking distance to shopping and Rhein promenade, restaurants and so. Beautifull location."
