The hotels location is superb and rooms are clean. There are 6 floors with 2 lifts and one of them was broken from the day we arrived till end of our stay which made going to the lobby or the restaurant annoying as the working lift was always full and we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get in every time

This was our first visit to Istanbul, and this put us close to all of the spots we wanted to see, either on foot or via a short trolley trip. (There are two nearby stations.) Room was small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Experience in Hotel Sultanhan
The service and atmosphere of this hotel is fantastic, nevertheless, our highlight is always the breakfast. The restaurant offers an amazing view of the city of Istanbul and the service is always friendly and great! You could feed the seagulls on a good day and the owner /manager was kind enough to open the glass window for us to take photos without the glare of the indoor lights. It is a wonderful way to start the day.

Amazing!
Our stay at Sulthan Hotel added to the amazing family trip to Istanbul. The customer service was excellent throughout our stay. The managers helped arrange our airport pickup and drop off and we payed $130 total- the airport is 45min away from the hotel. The boutique-style hotel is in the main location and walking distance from the Grand Bazaar, Mosques, and other main attractions. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and are bigger than I had expected from the pictures. The hotel has a Turkish Bath on site and the roof top views over the Bosporus are stunning to look at during breakfast time. Overall, the stay was amazing and well worth the price.

The room was disappointing, it was small and did not resemble any of your photographs. Toilet flush and air conditioning were not working properly, the curtain rail was not fitted correctly. The only redeeming factor was the cleaning lady Aliye who was very helpful. Bearing in mind the hotel was not full we could have been allocated a better room.

Excellent hotel - central Istanbul & attractions
This was a wonderful hotel to stay in for our 25-year wedding anniversary celebration. The check-in concierge/reception was very kind and professional. The housekeeping staff and porter were also gracious and friendly. The room had a comfortable bed and luxurious Turkish silk curtains, wooden flooring. A little juliette balcony facing the street overlooked a leafy tree and quiet street. The location was excellent - we were a 5-minute walk from the (former) Hippodrome, Sultanahmet Square, Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, 10 minutes from Topkapi Palace. The breakfast on the 6th floor was outstanding every day - panoramic view of the Bosphorus, Golden Horn, architectural marvels. If you want to stay on the European side, this is an excellent choice. We felt very welcome and thank everyone on the staff for making our visit to Istanbul wonderful.
