Disappointing...
The check-in via the App requires excessive information (we are UK residents, so why did we need to provide passport details?!).
When arriving at the building, the (new) App didn't work after many attempts, so I couldn't download the key to access the building.
Pros:
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
The apt was well appointed and comfortable.
Cons:
There is no TV in bedroom (NB living room TV is Wi-Fi and didn't work anyway - picture kept freezing).
No creamer for coffee.
Both toilets wouldn't flush.
Small and quite dated elevator.

Roomy elegant apartment perfect for family
We rented a 3bd 2ba for 2 couples plus one person and there was plenty room for us with big bedrooms large kitchen and living room that had a large dining table.The ensuite bathroom was tiny and the shared bathroom was normal size. The TV worked great and we watched Netflix. It was such a nice elegant retreat to return to after long days of sightseeing. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. You can't beat the location of being close to Earls Court station. We were able to take the tube to Heathrow airport with no problems. You can get anywhere in London from there. Also there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. Here is why I docked a star-I specifically chose this place bc it had a washer & dryer. I can't stand the combo washer/dryers in Europe bc they take forever to dry clothes and they end up frying your clothes. I was so disappointed bc the dryer didn't work. I sent my husband down to tell them and he said it was not hooked up for whatever reason. I had my clothes drying for 4 hours and gave up. I ended hanging them all on the drying racks which was truly annoying. The next day we woke up to NO hot water. We had to get going to sightsee (it was around 10am) and all of us had to take COLD showers! Also before we arrived I couldn't figure out best way to communicate and some of my inquiries weren't answered. There was always someone in the office to help us once we were there. All else was great and I wished we could have stayed longer.

the apartment was large and well appointed with fancy wedgewood plates and cups and a washer dryer and good sized kitchen. Bathroom was also well appointed. There was a generous amount of storage space in all rooms and outlets were also plentiful. We had a great space as we had a huge balcony spanning the living room with sofa bed, and the bedroom. The only problem was the 15 steps from the 5th floor elevator ro this apartment which we didnt know about and would have not booked had we known about the steps.

The photos don’t match the room. There is no Airconditioner and the room is hot. No fresh air enters the apartment. The wifi drops out. The apartment is on an extremely busy road. The area is quite good although a bit scummier than the areas nearer Kensington. Public transport is good. London is expensive so I am not totally sure but it didn’t seem like good value.

5 min walk to Earls Court tube which is great for getting around. Apartment was very comfortable and had everything you’d need, including robes, slippers, hair dryer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again. Tip: stairs and lift available.

Basic, fit for purpose, if no issues; location is convenient if you are ok with the tube for 30 minutes if sightseeing or shopping, and it’s nice to have a washer.
Reception staff were attentive and attempted to fix many housekeeping issues but we went without enough towels the first night and no proper bedding for 2 out of 4 nights so I had only a bottom sheet while my daughter used the duvet as a bottom sheet since housekeeping perhaps did not read notes that reception office left for them. For the 3rd night we finally got a sheet and duvet because the office brought them up, but then we were back to fewer towels than guests.
Nothing was wiped down when housekeeping came and we found food packages when folding out the sofa. Most windows didn’t open and there was only one fan for 3 sleeping rooms during a heat wave and we couldn’t sleep and were really uncomfortable. One window that did open was to a shared space and it didn’t lock - very unsafe.
There was no attempt to compensate in any way after not resolving requests for bedding/having to go to reception repeatedly to pick up towels. If there had been, I may have thought these events were out of the norm and considered returning.
Looking back, I should have spent the same on a hotel.

The unit was recently refinished and looked brand new. The couch was old, but that was the only issue I had. Wish they had A/C, but fortunately it wasn't that hot, and they do provide fans if needed. Location isn't close for sightseeing, but you can get there quickly on the tube that is close by. If returning, I would book again.

As a group of six, we were delighted to find that No. 1 The Mansions offered ample space for our family. The apartment was perfect for spending quality time together while still enjoying our own privacy. The location was unbeatable, with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the beautiful back garden was a lovely bonus. The daily housekeeping was exceptional, ensuring our apartment was always clean and tidy. While the room could benefit from some updates, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend No. 1 The Mansions to anyone looking for a spacious and convenient base for exploring London.

Needs TLC and repairs, but great location
This apartment/ hotel is a good choice for a family stay- central to the London attractions and walkable to fantastic restaurants, snack shops, a pharmacy and kid friendly fast food. Management is friendly and courteous but they have the line down pat: “our elevator JUST went out and it should be fixed tomorrow.” After reading about the elevator/ “lift” issues in reviews, I thought that by now it would have been fixed. Fortunately, we are a healthy family that could climb the five flights to the apartment with our suitcases. This property is NOT ADA accessible nor appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. The term “luxury” is used loosely for this property. It’s a lovely old building in a beautiful part of town, but the carpet is dirty and the floor in our bathroom was peeling up. Paint was chipped off the walls and floorboards. The pluses: great kitchen with coffee, tea and most thankfully, a small container of milk for our kids. Loved the washer/dryer in unit. Great to have two rooms and a living area- space was fabulous for the four of us. With some TLC and repairs, this property could truly be the gem it aspires to be.
