Get away from it all at Hemlock Hills On Mill Pond - The Cabin. Year around rental for you to enjoy 365 acres of Northern Michigan natural beauty with approximately 3 miles of trails for you to explore. Completely remodeled in 2017 with many one of a kind and unique features.
Custom wood floors throughout, gourmet kitchen with all new appliances and custom cabinets made by local craftsman. Unique stairs made from Hemlock and Cedar trees from the property. Custom made dining table made from local area White Pine that can seat up to 14 people.
Sit on the 350 square feet balcony overlooking the Thunder Bay River. Large outdoor patio with fire pit and deck with stairs to access the river. Outdoor kitchen with gas grill, smoker and sink. Pool table in the game room and a loft for enjoying the view on those cooler days.
Sit on the deck and listen to the river flowing, the birds chirping, and the wind blowing through the Hemlock and White Pine Trees. Watch the Eagles soar and the Geese land on the pond. 200' Floating dock on the pond can be used for fishing and swimming or just relaxing. 4 Kayaks, 2 canoes and 1 paddle boat are included in the rental.

Beautiful property!
Property is beautiful and well maintained, could not have picked better for our girls weekend! The kayaks were a big hit, and the outdoor fire pit and bbq space was perfect! Property manager Tammy was friendly and helpful! Already planning our next stay here!

Absolutely beautiful
The pictures doesn't do this place justice. Once you enter the property you are blown away by the amount of space available. This was the first time my mom was able to get her whole family together. This was the most memorable Christmas ever. The Hemlock Hills is the perfect place for a family getaway. We will most definitely be coming back soon. Great hospitality and peace. Can't beat that!!!

Awesome rental--exceeded our high expectations!
We rented the Hemlock Hills Cabin for 5 nights over Memorial Day weekend and were EXTREMELY pleased, and hope to return in coming years. We had 7 adults, and 3 mid-teen nephews that took full advantage of the kayaks and paddle boat. Although we had planned to go to Rogers City for dinner at least once, we ended up cooking every meal in the wonderful, fully stocked kitchen. We could all dine together at the beautiful big table, which doubled as the game and puzzle table. The attached garage, which includes an extra full-size refrigerator, was very convenient for storing our drinks and food. We did not miss having cable TV....Tammy brought us a big basket of Blue-ray disc movies. All beds, pillows, bedding, and linens are high quality. Plenty of cooking utensils and small kitchen appliances. We had bonfires in the pit on the deck every night. We enjoyed the trails as well as a bit of fishing off the deck. Internet and cell service was a bit spotty, but good enough. The Cabin was very clean and well taken care of. I highly recommend the Cabin for your next Posen adventure--close to both Rogers City and Alpena.

Amazing Property
This rental was beyond our expectations. The house is beautiful, well furnished, and has an amazing view. The property is a wonderful nature preserve offering opportunities for hiking and water activities. We can’t wait to reserve this property again.

A vacation home for nature lovers
The cabin was very nice and massive. There was plenty of room for everyone and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we made meals each night. The surrounding property is just absolutely beautiful. The variety of birds and animals was awesome. We took the kayaks out on the creek and had Bald Eagles and Osprey flying overhead. We also witnessed two snapping turtles fighting in the water and it certainly was a show. We went fishing many times and caught quite a bit. We had huge fires every night and firewood was included. You will need to definitely need to be careful walking down the wooden stairs. While they are beautiful, they will scrape the backs of your ankles. If you have anyone with mobility issues, keep them on the lower floor. The only issue we really had was when we got home, an email was sent with a picture of towels that appeared “dirty and grey” vs their normal white. Mitch the property owner stated that they had to try a few times to get them clean. No one in my party remembers leaving the towels looking like that, but all in all they came clean and everything worked out. It was just a tad bit awkward to go through. Overall, it was a stunning place to stay and if you love nature you won’t want to leave.

So relaxing, just what we needed!
We had a great time! We fished, took long walks, went swimming and kayaking. The bonfires were a great way to unwind each night. It was a great place to just be able to relax and enjoy time with our family and friends.

Little slice of Paradise
Perfect location by the river. Outstanding views, outdoor kitchen, upper balcony, wildlife, hiking, close to town but nowhere near it. Had a great time getting away from it all.

Pictures Can't Even Capture...
From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were in complete awe of the beauty of this place! The house is stunningly built with so many areas to relax. The grounds are a dream. If you love to fish, kayak, or just sit outside and enjoy the sounds of nature and water, this location is perfect. Our children explored all day and into the night. I spent the day reading, cooking, and watching my kids have the time of their lives. We also took some day trips to see Lake Huron, and to Mackinac Island. This was a vacation to remember and I would come back in a heartbeat!
