The Residenza La Capannina, is a typical Tuscan rustic farmhouse, very old, built in local stone, whose first building is lost in the mists of time, perhaps of medieval or even Etruscan-Roman origin.

Repeatedly altered and enlarged over the centuries, it has just been restored and divided into apartments.

For over 100 years La Capannina belongs to the Goretti family.

Located at 840 meters above sea level, in the splendid Valle del Casentino, the most beautiful valley in Tuscany and one of the most beautiful in Italy, the residence is located within the Casentino Forest National Park (*).

The residence is surrounded by lush forests of oak, chestnut, fir, pine and beech trees, and has ample space for parking, sunbathing and children's games, and is at the center of a property of circam2.

A holiday in La Capannina is ideal for families, for those who love nature, tranquility and silence; for those who want to get away from the hectic city life and take a relaxing break, away from the noise, to find themselves, meditate, read, study; or to walk in the woods, go trekking in the Park. It is also easy to spot and photograph wildlife: deer, wild boar, squirrels, hares, foxes, pheasants, hawks, and others.

Within a few kilometers you can visit Etruscan archaeological sites, museums, Romanesque parish churches, shrines, castles and medieval villages, of which the valley is very rich.

Between visits, we recommend stopping and enjoying traditional local cuisine. In every refreshment point of the Valley you can find genuine products and excellent delicacies.

The Valle del Casentino is equipped with a golf course, numerous tennis courts and swimming pools open to the public, riding stables that organize horse riding and a winter ski resort.

For those who love sightseeing, from La Capannina you can easily reach all the art cities of the regions of Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Marche and Emilia Romagna. You can also easily reach the Tirreno (viareggio) and Adriatic (rimini) beaches for a day at the beach.
