2/10 Poor

The staff was nice but we were there during the hurricane lost power and plumbing no one came to check on us! Our room flooded during storm! We asked for help no one came! We did not get our Vip bottle of wine. We had to keep asking what to do where to go and fend for ourselves.

It’s was a nice hotel , we were upgraded to the full suite. So we had our own private pool and 4 bathrooms! Kitchen was nice and had every thing you needed to make a meal.

The place is good, it’s nice, just need a few improvements, water is salty but I guess that’s how it is in some areas in Tulum! During our stay there has been some few problems, toilet’s are clogged, our sink fell down, aircon in our room is not working properly! But overall it’s a good stay, location is perfect, convenient and close to downtown and hotel zone area and beach!

A 5 star hotel!? Maybe in a concentration camp!
This place was filthy. Linens and pillows were stained all over. Walls had visible water damage in multiple spots.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS PROPERTY! The staff does not have the capacity to resolve any issues. Even though this is apparently considered a 4 and a half star “luxury hotel”, the AC was not cooling so it only worked as a fan, room was not fully cleaned, and when I asked someone to come fix it or provide me with another room, nobody did anything. I complained as soon as I checked in, left the room, and when I came back the next day (could not even sleep there because of how hot it was) the 2nd staff member (as the first lady had finished her shift) did not even know of these problems which means nobody ever communicated this to her. Given that I’m a Silver member at Expedia, I was supposed to receive a bottle wine. However, when I got it, these were warm. For this reason, I asked for some cups or ice and even though the hotel has a restaurant, they said they did not have any ice, so there was no way I could drink the wine. Also, when I asked to speak to the manager, I was telling him all the issues that I had dealt with in the room, and told him I had not slept there that night and therefore wanted a reimbursement and the first thing that came from his mouth was that I actually did not sleep there because I was partying - how come an employee has the balls to assume something like that and be so unprofessional to say that to a host. No wonder why the front staff is also completely incapable to provide a good service. By far my worst experience at a hotel in over 10 years.

4/10 Fair

The staff was so helpful and so nice but the building itself was not. There was no hot water, the AC leaked so there was always water all over the floor, the room smelled musty, and there was supposed to be breakfast but the chef wasn’t there any of the 8 days we stayed. I would not recommend this hotel

2/10 Poor

we had to stay at another hotel since they have no rooms available with accessibility for a handicapped person!! no elevator available and you have to go up 3 flights of stairs to get to the room and the room has 1 set of stairs to get to the bedroom, none was shown in expedia pictures! Very rude and unhelpful staff that just tells you it is what it is when you tell them your discomfort. The room door didn't lock and they claim the room has 2 bathrooms which it does but one of them had a clear window to the hallway outside the room where other guests pass by and there was no way to cover close or lock it. over all the worst hotel I didn't stay at.

Overall this property was okay. We didn't realize how small it was as there was not even a restaurant onsite. They did offer in room delivery (they called room service) however, it was extremely expensive (twice the price of most Canadian/American hotels). Also, all of the restaurants nearby were extremely expensive ($20-30 CDN for a Cocktail expensive)! The room was complete with a full kitchen however, it had very little for cooking and eating (Plates, cups, bowls, silverware, etc). The only way to get to the beach was by bike or cab (too far to walk). We have a baby so the bike wasn't an option and cabs are 400 pesos ($30 CDN) for a 10 minute ride 1 way! Overall it seemed like a safe area with many restaurants and some small groceries stores within a 10 minute walk.

Would not book again
It was a really nice hotel BUT! We lost electricity twice for more than 6 hours at a time and the staff really did not care, we lost water for a whole day and the staff did not care. We arrived back at the hotel one day and there were police everywhere when we asked what had happened the staff told us it was just a health and safety check, we also learned that the police had closed the hotel to the public but the hotel management kept it open. It was not a health and safety check which we learned from other guests but there had been a fire in one of the rooms, the next day the staff was running around putting up fire exit signs and installing fire extinguishers, so we learned the hotel had no Fire plans. So we were lied to by the staff which made us feel very unsafe. Twice we asked the staff to change our bedsheets because there were brown marks all over them, this was never done during our stay, also the towels in the room had holes in them. There is a lot of building work going on in the area but that did not worry us, the walk into town is about 25 minutes and there is no street lighting.

The luxury apartment is a very small room with no couch, sink, or anything else you’d expect in an apartment. It’s a room. There is no sofa bed even though the description says there is one. It’s not a resort a even though an Expedia perk is a “resort credit”. This felt like a scam. The area is full of construction and the roads in are not all paved going to this place. There are much better places to stay in Tulum!!

I never received VIP status with them, they never honored it. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle and around buildings that are being constructed. Do your self a favor and book near centro or the beach, avoid this place

Gorgeous place! Great staff! Of course once of the concierges will push activities into you at hiked your prices but be adamant and book on your own. The place is new in the middle of an area under HEAVY construction and most taxis got lost but we didn’t mind because the price was exceptional. I (31 year old single female) traveled alone with my preteen son and we felt safe the entire time. But because there was lots of construction around, I did verify that all the doors locked properly and one didn’t but this was quickly fixed.
