Stay here (only) if you have to
You can find the concierge just in the afternoon. A sign says; call if you need someting but it doesn't answer. If you expect hot water, well, we did - but did not have any. Sorta luke warm water. Not something we would shower in. The room heat works after it blows cool - right next to the bed. The other residents were quiet and we felt safe in a neighborhood that has a high police presence - due to need. It was no surprise that we had to pay extra for fenced-in parking.

Who leads the West End?
The information packet to checkin was a lot . It wasn't very helpful and I would imagined that those less tech savvy would give up and go elsewhere. The complex it cute and well decorated. We saw the same staff member 2x and he was helpful. The rooms are tight and the hot water is slow, it could be overcame if the common Areas were well appointed. They were not. No cups, no sugar, no cream, no pastries... It one staff member came at the last moment with a few donuts. Parking was the biggest trouble. This is a nice place, it just needs some good leadership.

Fix the water heater on the 2nd floor!
Check in was fine, not really a front desk but very casual. Secure parking was great for a woman alone. It was clean, the bed was fine, should have brought my own pillow. The biggest problem was NO hot water. 7 pm 6 am didn't matter no hot water. The mixer valve cover in the shower was loose, the blinking air freshener got unplugged right away, the door seals were bad and I pushed towels up against the bottom to decrease the light coming in the room. I have still not been refunded the $99 fee they placed ony card more than 24 hours after leaving. Not happy, not recommending or staying again

Nice Boutique Experience at a Great Rate
Very nice, boutique style hotel. You can tell they are trying hard at rebranding the property from whatever it was before. Great location. Private parking. Within short Uber ride from most anything.

The check in process is difficult with no staff to assist. The room number I was sent in email was different from the actual room number. Has to call guest services three times to get access to the room. The pictures did not match accommodations. Not a pleasant experience but made the best of it since it's no refunds.

No one present on checkin, and its really important to find the email from The West End and finish the checkin process by uploading a photo, your drivers license, and credit card to their website. Beautiful property.

Everything was pretty good. Once I first entered the bathroom I did see pieces of red hair and then my last day staying there I did see a roach. Other than that everything else was pretty good. Also I was told that I was going to get a refund once I checked out and now they’re telling me I have to wait 3-5 days.

Nice aparthotel, would stay again
We really loved our stay at The West End. The room was super comfortable. Big bed, nice bathroom, clean. I felt the check-in wasn't as difficult as everyone in the reviews was saying. Just be aware you have to fill out some info beforehand, and you're golden. They'll send you an email about it, and you'll receive your room code. We didn't use the kitchens much, but it was great to have them available. The free donuts and coffee on arrival were a nice touch (as was the cupcake and gift card in the room). The only downside was that there's a "property fee" of $30. On top of the other taxes and fees, the original price shown jumps up $50. Just be aware of that, as I didn't see it when I booked the place hastily. Hotels are pretty pricey in St. Louis, so it was still a good deal for a nice hotel with free parking in what felt like a safe area.

This place was only just "fine." Be aware that this is not a hotel, but more of an apartment building. It was a bit confusing because we checked in after their "concierge" had left for the day, and we were not sent our room number ahead of time. Luckily, a resident of the building helped us by calling the building administrator. The sheets had some makeup stains on them, and the toilet wouldn't quit running. In fact, we had to refill the tank once to even get it to flush. The bed was uncomfortable. All amenities were basic. On-site parking was nice and easy. Overall, I wouldn't have been too disappointed, but with the price I paid for one night ($200), it was very very overpriced. I would want to pay no more than $99 to stay here per night.

It was clean, but the towels were inadequate, the lighting was also inadequate and the toilet seemed like it would overflow every time we flushed.
