Melia Purosani Yogyakarta
"Melia Purosani Yogyakarta is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location, within walking distance of Malioboro Street. The lobby is elegant and makes a great first impression. Our stay started with having to wait more than 40 minutes for our room despite arriving after the official check-in time. Once we got the room, we found it spacious and comfortable. However, some housekeeping details were overlooked, including missing hand towels and a bathroom that did not meet our expectations for a five-star hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. However, when we started ordering, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. The available dishes we ordered were very disappointing in terms of flavor, quality, and value for money. Considering the hotel's reputation, we expected a much better dining experience. Breakfast was better, offering a good variety of local and international options, including an egg station and fresh fruit. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, Melia Purosani has a beautiful property, spacious rooms, and a prime location, but improvements in housekeeping and restaurant quality would better align it with five-star standards."

"Here were lots of things to do, the hotel is in an iconic location amd building and the staff are amazingly helpful. The breakfasts are fantastic and the food is great"
Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro
"Everything was 10/10 except the breakfast wasn't to my tastes. I can't mark them down for that though"

"The rooftop pool was a welcome addition and a little oasis after touring the city. The beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful."
Greenhost Boutique Hotel
"Amazing unique hotel with nice pool, nice restaurant, and big clean rooms with good showers."
Kimaya Sudirman Yogyakarta by Harris
"This is a good hotel. The staff is very helpful, breakfast delicious with incredible selection and the rooms comfortable. My only complaint: the bar is terribly overpriced. We learned that our first night. Later nights we noticed that no one is there. (Hint: walk 3 blocks to Ar+otek --- their bar & restaurant are much more reasonable with local live music many nights)."
Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta
"Beautiful and luxurious hotel with an A+ staff. Room is cleaned every day unless I ask to skip (with a button near the door) but they will come by later for a rescheduling. This way they can restock the free complimentary water and food/fruits. Pool is very nice, breakfast buffet is from 6am to 10am and I do recommend getting it as part of your room - wide selection and most of its pretty good. There is a national anthem at 10am that does play in public areas of the hotel. Staff is helpful and professional with the front desk and those at most front facing positions having strong English speaking skills too. Would go back if I was in Yogya"

"Excellent place to stay in Yogyakarta Indonesia"
Oakwood Yogyakarta
"Amazing and friendly staff who are always looking out for you and your wellbeing. The place was 200m away from the market which has local delicious food. It is also 100m from the Tugu Yogyakarta which has many cafes at the roundabout. It’s also 5min away by car to the Tugu Yogyakarta train station and 5-15min away from malioboro mall. The swimming pool is a relaxed and conducive place."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Yogyakarta
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Yogyakarta is during February, March, and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to make the most of their trip, staying for at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city's rich history and culture. During your visit, you can explore a variety of landmarks, including ancient temples, museums, and monuments, as well as enjoy cultural experiences such as traditional dance performances and archaeological tours. This way, you'll find that Yogyakarta offers great value for money while immersing yourself in its fascinating heritage.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover great hotel deals for Yogyakarta, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about any flash sales or special last-minute offers, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best options. With these features, you'll be promptly alerted if rooms become available or if prices drop, making it easier to secure that last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more economical option for your stay in a Yogyakarta hotel. If you're in search of a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and potentially better value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to a more affordable stay.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive; however, thanks to Yogyakarta's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a little further out that remains well linked. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
