, and the staff was amazing. We were the only Americans there and they were very accommodating and kind helping us navigate the things we were unfamiliar with. We also got a massage and it was magical after a few days walking around Tokyo. This place is awesome."

"Stayed one night at this hotel for the Japanese experience and it was amazing. Booked with breakfast and dinner included. The food was spectacular and as a true Ryokan they offered hot baths for guests to relax in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this experience."

"Mogana is a peaceful haven. Highly recommend this hotel. Walking distance to cute shops and cafes, as well as a good shopping district. Amazing amenities. Service was impeccable. Hotel's signature drink is to die for (my friend wouldn't shut up about it!). Would stay again for sure. "

. Breakfast was a good combination of Asian and western so something for everyone. Annoying we had to pay extra for the children for breakfast despite clearly booking the room for four. Don't quite understand why adults got it free but not children. Good location, near the shops. "

"Loved this ryokan. We wanted a traditional experience and were very happy. The futons were very comfortable; the amount of space was generous - four of us stayed in comfort. The "public bath" (separate for men and women) was great (good shower/bathtub in the bathroom as well); the morning tea ceremony and afternoon calligraphy session were enjoyable; the small balcony had a sweet Japanese garden, and a clever combination of screens and curtains made it possible to shut out the "city" view and...
