Timeless in Downtown Detroit
We loved the hotel. Located right in the middle of Downtown Detroit. It allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. There are multiple bars in the complex, and restaurants to suit all your needs. The room was spacious , and had all amentities I would expect a hotel of that caliber to have. The staff went above and beyond to greet us, help. and serve our needs.

My credit card was charged 3 times for three different amounts ($599,$605,630) for a one night stay. The charges happened throughout the day. Had a horrible time getting a true explanation. Now have over $1200 pending In my account for the 2 charges not correct.

Amazing experience at Shinola Hotel
I’m not sure if my “king” room got upgraded, but I kind of gasped when I saw my room. Huge, corner room on the 8th floor with amazing views of the city. I booked a queen room for my daughter and they put us right next to each other in our own suite of rooms. I’ve never seen that before, but it’s like we had our own entryway with a library! So cool. Just a beautiful room with amazing details and design. The location is walkable to most things and you can easily catch the train to Midtown. The staff makes you feel like family, they are that good. The lounge in the lobby is really nice and has a wood fireplace that you can sit by to get warm (it was really cold when we were there at Thanksgiving). The restaurant in the lobby (San Morello) is fabulous. I can’t wait to visit Detroit again and stay at the Shinola Hotel, maybe when the new Hudson’s opens. It’s literally next door.
