Asakusa on the whole was disappointing due to the mass commercialism. Apart from the temple there isn’t much apart from mainly tacky shops and mediocre/poor restaurants. Bars on hoppy street aren’t great and all require cover charges. Would give it a miss on your itinerary.

Hidden Gem in Tokyo
I have been to Japan several times and the Asakusa area where this hotel is located is my favorite. The location is perfect, the service excellent and the rooms are clean. I would definitely stay in that hotel again if the opportunity presented itself.

Amazing place, a bit hard to find, but once you're there it's lovely. Floors have a small amount of rooms, very private. Rooms were surprisingly large (for Tokyo) and the outdoor bath and patio were so relaxing after a long day of walking around. Signed up for breakfast and was very pleased with the food and the portions, highly recommend.

While they had free coffee, tea and chilled water in the lobby all the time, It would have been great if they had some option to make coffee/tea in the room given they had already provided a kettle.
One minor issue was that the storage area with the fridge and safe smelt a little musty

Just a bit naff for the cost. £260 a night and the place was full of tacky Halloween decorations and reception looked like the kind you’d find in a hostel. Room was great albeit lacking a few amenities, this place felt way off the level of hotel it’s advertised as.

Hotel was clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Rooms were comfortable but small as expected. Close to temple and markets. On the end of the Ginza line which is slightlly far from other tourist attractions.

Very disappointing for the price
Very over priced and an enormous disappointment to our Japanese trip. This was the final night of our stay. Given the price (nearly £400 for one night), we expected something special. The hotel was extremely basic. Breakfast was tasteless. There was nothing stylish or luxurious about this place. Almost like a youth hostel. Tacky decorations. Had an initial problem with the air conditioning making a terrible noise - but this was fixed. On a busy road - but a very long walk from metro stations. Not in an interesting area at all and need to walk to be in the main Asakusa district.

The best place we stayed at in Japan. Perfect little rooms (except the automatic light that turns on if you so much as roll over in bed), great staff, excellent breakfasts, great location.

Nice little hotel, clean and beautiful bathroom. The amenities provided really convenient and practical - like the pajamas set and skincare set. I felt that next time I go visit can pack a bit lighter :)
