The Staff is very selective
The staff is very selective to provide a good service to you. If you don't look American (Caucasian), do not expect a good service, even though you are American! Wors thing! I mentioned something to this lady Lupita! at the front desk when I was doing the check out, and she just say: Oh, I didn't know that. That was it!

The hotel, beach, and grounds were beautiful. The rooms were nice and spacious. The food was mediocre at best, the buffet was better than the restaurants!! Beer, wine and liquor choices were poor. Cocktails were limited. We took shots of Patron Silver one night, which I drink at home, it was not Patron Silver! The bar tenders and servers were generally attentive if you tipped them. Entertainment was ok. Overall it was an ok experience.

Overall had an excellent stay!! We had our grandma’s 90th birthday party and semi family reunion here, and the resort did not disappoint. The property is immaculately kept up, the restaurants’ food selections were limited but they did suffice. The pools were alright but we spent most of our time at the adults swim up bar. Staying at this resort gave us access the other 4 Riu properties so we spent a day resort hopping.
