Great breakfast, great service.
The room was lovely, we even got one with a balcony. It was all clean. The only thing would be that the floor is very freaky, but we got used to it pretty fast. Breakfast was very well done, and the employees were lovely.
We needed to extend our stay by one night because of problems with our flight, and it took about 30 seconds and they even have us the same room. It was perfect.

Don't use Hotels.com, swindlers
This review is about hotels.com - I don't know about Monty Small. I booked on the hotels.com app. 5 minutes later the hotel texted and called me to say that they have no rooms available, and that I wasn't being charged. I was charged. So I applied for a refund. No response. Over a hundred Euros and I had to book a more expensive room for the same night. DON'T USE HOTELS.COM

It was already my second stay at this hotel and probably not the last one. It is very well situated. Close to the office I use to go. Usually I spent there 1-2 nights. This is enough to feel comfortable. The lift is lacking. The rest is ok. The old not-flat screen TV does not disturb me ans bed is comfortable, bed sheets clean, room is nicely warm. I like a common table to share with other guests,. Breakfasts are ok. Could be any vegetables. Reception very kind and helpful.

Great place for a short business stay
Nice hotel with very helpful staff. It is walking distance to the airport bus (Diamant) and a pleasant walk to the EU institutions also. The breakfast is very good, as is the wifi.

Kicked out
Well I’d like to say it was a great stay, close to the European Institutions etc but as they wouldn’t let me in, due to a problem, I was routed to another hotel at my own expense. The Hotel La Madeleine was much worse than the hotel I’d booked. Small single room. Noisy with shouty staff from about 5am. No en-suite facilities. Very unhappy.

Convenient no frill hotel at a decent price
Stayed in this hotel 3 different nights over 3 weeks. First time I got a room in a separate building across the courtyard: it was big, but the window in the bathroom wouldn't close (it was ground floor room so a bit uncomfortable) and I could hear people smoking and talking in the yard - just few meters from my door. I asked the receptionist if they will be talking so loud till late and he said yes and walked off. The wifi was very poor there and so was the water pressure. 2nd time I got a room on the top floor, much smaller, but good wifi and water pressure. The TV remote didn't work and there was only 1 bulb in the side lamp. 3rd time on the 1st floor, facing the main and noisy road, but room was nice and big. The breakfast is ok for carb eating people, for someone who wants to avoid carbs (bread and waffles) there is very little to eat. Oranges and cheese. Check in is very quick. Check out is basically leaving the key and walking out. Very close to 2 metro stations, tram and a nice supermarket with natural products. Also 5 min to Exki restaurant.

Hip - not hop
Design hotels should surprise you - and Monty is no exception.
It is a budget hotel, so the expectations should be set accordingly. But the staff provides a super cose atmosphere, a bit hipstery but with a kind heart.
I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.

Bedroom was up three flights of stairs with no lift. It was also tiny - not much bigger than the bed - but was clean and comfortable. 25 minutes to walk to area of European Parliament or 10 minutes to nearest Metro station.

Convenient and affordable hotel w great breakfast!
Stayed here during a visit for meetings. The hotel was conveniently located and had good prices. The decor is not very attractive and the lack of elevator was a little inconvenient. The breakfast was excellent. In general the place was quiet and friendly. A noisy group that arrived very late one night caused a disturbance that disrupted my rest. The hotel is very small so you could hear the roust group all over. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful.

A warning to the unwary
This is a potentially reasonable hotel but stay was ruined by a policy of turning the heating on in the bathroom early in the morning (apparently because there would have been no hot water for the shower otherwise). Given that the daytime temperatures at the time were mid 20s C, and the room was small, this was especially crass, rendering the room uninhabitable and obliging me, when unable to elicit assurance that this situation would not be repeated, to check out a day early despite no refund being available.

Convenience traded for comfort
The hotel was very reasonable but had no lift and with badly arthritic knees it was such a struggle to climb the very steep 3 floors that I abandoned thoughts of breakfast. The room was very hot and I was badly bitten in the night by insects, midges I assume. It was also unbearably noisy from heavy traffic apart form between 3 and 5 am. Finally there was a fould smell of damp/drains in the bathroom. I won't be returning.
