Highly recommend Haven for a couples only trip. We stayed for our 30th anniversary in a Serenity Romance Suite and it was wonderful. Would definitely go back!

The hotel is ok, to be honest I was expecting a little bit more, the drinks at the Pool are awful, they taste cheap, I ordered a non-alcoholic pińa colada and it was terrible, my husband was trying different alcoholic beverages, and he said that they were just ok, the food is ok as well, not the best, buffets are average, and the quality of the food is average as well, Olios restaurant is very good, the pools are great, the spa is fantastic (my favorite part), the suites have beautiful views, but they don’t have a ventilation system in the WC so when someone poops the whole suite smells very bad, customer service is good, everyone is very polite. In general, I rate the hotel with a 7 or 8, on my next visit to Cancun, I would definitely not stay here and I will upgrade to a nicer hotel.

This resort has good and lots of bad . The resort is new and in great condition. Rooms smell amazing and the we loved our suite . Service was also great . We had Luis as our butler and he went above and beyond. He is the best thing about Haven resort . The biggest issue we had was the food was awful and the drinks were very very weak . I know that food at all inclusive isn’t going to be the best , but this place was really lacking . Several other guests said the same thing . This resort has a chance to be a 5 star hotel while things are slow during Covid . I don’t think they’ll do it . This was a huge disappointment. I am building a travel agency and I don’t think I’ll recommend this hotel to my clients . Luis was the only reason the trip wasn’t completely a bust. Lastly , the tv and WiFi in the rooms are awful . So we weren’t able to watch anything on our down times .

This resort is so amazing and I will be visiting again next time in Cancun. The resort had activities everyday, along with 5/6 different restaurants, shows to watch in the evening, DJ in the evening at the swim up pool bar and everything. You do not have to leave this resort for anything! The only issue I had was the jets not working in the jacuzzi that was in the balcony and they come up right away to fix. First experience to Mexico was everything thanks to Haven Riviera.

Overall the resort was very nice and we would return. On the first night our initial room flooded from the shower. We cleaned the mess up ourselves and waited for maintenance that never came. While waiting for maintenance my husband slipped and fell on the wet floor. The next morning we went to the front desk to complain and we were told that they would send someone to take a look. I’m not sure if it was due to the language barrier or not but no one offered to move us or to upgrade our room. We ultimately upgraded our room at our own expense. The reason why we would go back is because of the bar and wait staff. They were AMAZING! They made us feel so comfortable and kept the drinks and the food flowing.

My room smell like smoke and the staff stated there was no smoking in the rooms. They decided to transfer me to a different room where the sheets had blood stains. I asked the front desk to have all of the sheets change and they did not do what asked. The food was not good and the drinks were water down like they were rationing the alcohol. Please note I don’t really drink and just wanted a decent drink.
