Very unique and exquisite property. Excellent coffee and food. Very clean except the shower is rusty/worn like every other mexican washroom. Far from all the shopping/dining. Amazing wifi service. The bed is hatd byt the sun lounging is amazing!!

The air conditioning did not work. No compensation was offered. They nickel and dime you for everything even shower towels and beach towels. Food was not good. I expected better

Wonderful property to stay at. Entire staff was very nice and polite. Especially Manuel. Manuel took great care of us and we thank him for that. So much is within walking distance. Food, pharmacy, kwik Mart, RV, scooter and bicycle rentals. And the view from the tub on the rooftop of my room was incredible

My husband and I had a great time there. The staffs were awesome and the hotel it’s walking distance from the beach clubs. The only problem was the beach, it had a lot of Sargassum in the front of the property, we were expecting this during this season but we thought they would clean up more. Other than that, everything was great. Also, their breakfast was really good!!!

On our last night the air conditioner stopped working so it was very uncomfortable, and we noticed there were holes in the sliding doors that were constantly opened so we got a lot of big bites while in the room. We got breakfast at the place it was pretty good,friendly staff. The power also went out the last night of our stay around 2am.

We stayed for 5 nights in the Cambria suite. Our room was cleaned daily, staff was attentive, food and drinks were very good, and fairy priced. If you are looking for an authentic experience this is the place for you. The water in the shower is a bit salty but you quickly get used to that. Location wise this property is close enough to all of the beach clubs but far enough that the music doesn’t disturb during the night. We thank you for your hospitality and for having security during the night by the beach entrance and the main street.

The property is small but beautiful you don’t need anything else. The beach is amazing, staff super friendly and helpful, but the bathrooms were not that clean, and some things are a bit rusty but we understand that because of the salt. AVOID THIS HOTEL !! Stayed 2 days and felt unsafe, was charge over $700 to my AMEX by checkout when the gentleman noticed i was in a hurry, asked for a refund and been waiting since, they don't even answer my WhatsApp messages anymore ( Paola who promised i would receive my refund within 5 days ) Please avoid it, they will steal and overcharge you, there's plenty of beautiful more safer hotels in Tulum.

I was a little nervous to travel to Tulum, I’d heard that it’s very expensive, that a lot of people had a bad time and just as many had a good time. You know, classic mixed reviews. Here’s my experience; We flew into the Tulum Airport and after being received after customs by undercover Time Share salesmen (& women) masquerading as a Taxi Service - we settled on Jungle Taxi. Very nice people and we haggled a ride to the hotel and back for our return flight. Next came the hotel - we arrived and met Marciel- a very nice gentleman and very polite and well mannered. He spoke the directions in English and took a long time explaining the accommodations to us, which I enjoyed. His vibe was basically, you are here for a while so you’re basically family - let me know what I can do to help you. & he lived up to that and was helpful Every day - so thank you, Marciel! Manuela poured our welcome drink - one of the main bartenders of the resort. Condrado helped us with anything else we needed while we lounged on the beach. We have enjoyed this experience and I would highly recommend Orchid Beach to anyone visiting Tulum. We stayed in Brassavola - a room on a second floor and close to the street entrance of the resort. This resort is quiet at night. I slept very well, no raves or loud bars nearby. Nice place for relaxing retreat or a small family. Be kind to the staff, don’t be a POS. You’re a representative of your country whether you like it or not.

My week at Orchid Beach House was magical, but there are pros and cons. Pros: - Right on a beautiful beach. - The view from my room was incredible. Sea-view rooms are limited, but all rooms are steps from the sand. - Comfortable bed, good shower (rustic = salty water). - The food and drinks were delicious: great tacos with fresh tortillas (fish, steak, and shrimp were my favorites), ceviches, aguachile rojo, salads, a burger, and great breakfast options. They take pride in their food. - The staff are friendly and accommodating (beach club staff, chefs, housekeeping, front desk) - The beach setup is quite good. It's quieter - no loud music, which I loved. - Great massage is available in the white tent on the beach next to the hotel. Lily was incredible. - Checkin and checkout were easy - I'm not sure what all the complaints are about; the staff takes reviews seriously and makes course corrections. Cons: - It's rustic - this was not a con for me, but it could be for some. You're in the jungle. - The rooms were nicely decorated; however, there were no drawers—only shelves—and my sliding door did not lock from the inside (I never felt unsafe). - It is easy to get taxis; however, the taxi mafia is in full force. It costs 500 pesos to go one mile; you could haggle and maybe get it for 400, but you need to factor this in. - The kitchen closes early: 6:30 pm. - Tulum is expensive - everywhere. - The new Tulum airport is easier, but still a 45 drive; Transport is costly.
