Waterfront dining dominates the scene with fresh seafood and steakhouses, while water taxis offer a scenic alternative to walking. Hotels range from luxury towers to boutique properties, all within steps of cultural venues and shopping. The area balances urban energy with Florida's coastal charm through its palm-lined streets and river breezes.

Harbour Isles of Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale's Harbour Isles of Fort Lauderdale neighborhood offers attractions including Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Victoria Park
Victoria Park offers a peaceful escape from Fort Lauderdale's tourist hustle with tree-lined streets and charming homes. Holiday Park anchors the area, giving visitors tennis courts and green spaces perfect for morning walks. The historic Parker Playhouse hosts performances worth catching, while the Jimmy Evert Tennis Centre welcomes players of all levels. Dining options are limited within Victoria Park itself, but nearby Las Olas Boulevard serves up excellent restaurants just minutes away. Most accommodation is upscale holiday rentals or boutique bed & breakfasts in converted historic properties. A car is recommended for exploring, though the neighborhood's pavements make for pleasant strolls.

Harbor Beach
Harbour Beach brings Fort Lauderdale's luxury beach fantasy to life with pristine sugar-white sand meeting azure Atlantic waves. Mega-yachts dot the Intracoastal marinas while exclusive waterfront estates create a glamorous coastal tableau. Beach lovers can soak up the sun, stroll scenic waterfront promenades, or venture to nearby Las Olas Boulevard and Port Everglades. Upscale resort dining dominates with oceanfront restaurants serving fresh seafood and continental cuisine. Accommodation range from luxury beachfront resorts with full-service amenities to high-end holiday rentals, all offering easy access to water sports and sophisticated evening experiences.

East Fort Lauderdale

Luxury yachts bob in upscale marinas while sun-seekers stroll the lively beachfront promenade. The Galleria mall anchors the high-end shopping scene, with palm-lined streets leading to waterfront dining spots. Oceanfront restaurants serve fresh seafood in settings ranging from casual cafes to upscale establishments. Most beachfront resorts offer full-service amenities including spas and pools. Getting around is easy with ride-sharing services readily available, though public transit options are limited.

Fort Lauderdale Beach offers pristine sand without Miami's crowds, while Las Olas Boulevard tempts with open-air cafés and boutiques. The Museum of Discovery and Science provides welcome air-conditioning during afternoon thunderstorms. Hollywood Beach's charming boardwalk feels delightfully old-Florida, with musicians performing at the bandshell. Venture to Seminole Hard Rock Casino, or simply gawk at its guitar-shaped hotel. Pelican Grand Beach Resort - A Noble House Resort
"I'd like to comment VERY FAVORABLY on both Aidan, the bellman who assisted in getting our luggage up to our room on arrival, and Mark, the bellman who assisted in getting our luggage down to our car upon leaving. Thet were both GREAT!!! Our seaside room was fantastic!! Starting with a very clean and well configured bathroom to our large King Size Bed bedroom which led into another "sitting room" with an additional TV, sofa bed, and small refrigerator before leading out to our outdoor balcony with chairs and a table. Really, really GREAT!!! And the view of the beach and ocean from our balcony was exceptional. Our dinner to celebrate our 54th Wedding Anniversary was also a highlight, starting with unexpected glasses of Champaigne to toast, a surprise Anniversary Card from the Staff, and a complimentary desert. VERY NICE! The staff at the Bar and the Dining Room made my wife and I feel welcome and appreciated."
Fort Lauderdale Marriott North
"Great service, friendly staff convenient location."
Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort
"We only stayed at Beach House Fort Lauderdale for three days, but we had a great experience! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location right by the beach. We also really enjoyed the restaurants at the hotel - the food was delicious and there were plenty of options."
Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach
"We had a very pleasant stay at the Sonesta. From the moment we arrived, the valet staff were extremely courteous, friendly, relaxed, and respectful. The Front Desk service was wonderful. I don’t remember the name of the lady who assisted us, but she had short brown hair and glasses. She was extremely kind and helpful, explained our credits and services, and helped us change our ocean-view king room to a more comfortable room with two beds. She is an excellent staff member. I also want to recognize two restaurant staff members who were especially caring toward my mother, who was experiencing high blood pressure. The young brunette breakfast server even remembered the next morning what my mother had eaten and brought her tea and fruit. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. The gray-haired gentleman serving lunch was equally kind and made sure my mother’s meat was prepared exactly as she needed it. Things could be improved: the pool is very small for an 11-story hotel during summer season. Please think to add another pool space to the property, and some bathtub tiles needed a deeper scrub. The pool/bar also seemed understaffed; I requested a mimosa and drinks menu and after about 10 minutes it never arrived. Despite these details, we had a very good experience. The kindness and genuine care shown by the valet, Front Desk staff, and restaurant staff made us feel truly welcome. We would definitely consider staying at Sonesta again. Thank you!"
Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club

The Westin Fort Lauderdale
"This was the best ever … this was the first time I ever planned a trip it was so smooth"
W Fort Lauderdale
"La habiatacion es amplia está hermosa me tocó vista frente a el mar solo que en el baño de el cuarto principal se tiraba mucha agua y tenía goteras un poco caro pero el hotel está muy bonito y el desayuno no es bufet eso se cobra aparte y los balcones son un poco pequeños pero espacio suficiente para sentarse a disfrutar de la vista"
The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort
"L’emplacement super! Près de tout à pieds! Je n’ai pas aimé que l’on doive débourser 30$ US pour un parasol sur la plage. Plusieurs machines à glace non fonctionnel. Pas de machine à café dans les chambres."
Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach
"Beautiful properties and room. Immaculately clean."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Fort Lauderdale
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Fort Lauderdale is between August and October, when hotel rates may drop to lower prices. This period offers a budget-friendly option for travellers looking to explore the city's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions, such as the beach, bar, excursions, sea, sunrise, boating, marina, dancing, dining, and port. A stay of at least 3 to 4 days is ideal to fully experience the rich heritage and vibrant culture of this coastal destination while enjoying great value for money on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover enticing hotel deals in Fort Lauderdale by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. If your travel date is near, check the Last-Minute Deals area, where you could find discounted hotels. Sign up for email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app helps travellers compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see an opportunity for a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year. Being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Fort Lauderdale hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised service and sometimes even a better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but with Fort Lauderdale's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
