Not worth the price
On 3rd floor with no elevator, no fridge, lost power multiple times. Cable and internet not reliable. Older buildings with no real beach access to enjoy. Staff not to bright. Small pool with not nothing to do onsite

It was ok, staff very nice.. no elevator if you have heavy luggage. Pool looked clean, drinks not good, food was ok. There is a public beach a 2 mnts walk but the water not so clear and has a lot of seaweed... the hotel has a small beach right in front of the marina where boat tours take olace so is not really private. A lot of ppl passing by.

Great budget option
Older hotel right on the bay by the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Basic rooms but large and clean. The restaurant is not fancy but the food is excellent and the drinks are affordable. Fun Mexican music plays in the bar in the evening and the crowd is fun. It all quiets down by midnight. Nice pool, great staff, I had a very pleasant relaxing 2-day stay.

Good for 1 or 2 nights or if you have a car
Be aware that this hotel is like being in cuba (or worse). Let's state the positives: very clean...bar and restaurant employees are nice. First: reception: we arrived earlier than 3pm..they made us wait....for a long time and then give us the bracelets to go eat and drink. Never seen that kind of wait at reception before. Lunch: hamburgers, hot dogs and fries and a few extras (we were there for 2 nights thank God). Room was ready at 3pm. bellboy ensure we needed him for a/c and tv (the breakers were not on). Big large room. 2 double beds, 1 tiny 24 inch tiv, table with 4 charrs and a makup table. Bathroom with shower and door that hi the toilet...Very clean...but this hotel is VERY OLD. like cuban ones. Good tv channels. Pool is tiny and beach is unexistent...like 12 chairs ...they sacrificied beach to build the cancun sail...so if you are in the only restaurant you see people all day walking down to go for their catamaran excursion..then on their way back they use the outdoor bathrooms...so...no privacy at all...no beach not able to swim at all. Dinner: you have few choices in the buffet let me tell you we are not fussy but omg this is very basic...and NO desert (only one: 1st night jell-0 and second night rice puddintg). NO WINE at all. Not a real all inclusive you need to buy your own! very noisy no way we could sleep the security was not there to prevent noise at night. Breakfast is basic...all is basic. Bar from 11am to 10h30 pm. no entertainment nothing at all.

No entertainment only music in the pool area. Perhaps a live show on the beach would have been nice. Mariachi's would have made me feel I was in Mexico, yoga, work outs at the pool I suggest. Nothing for children to do just swim... The food was ok. But really no Mexican food .. no tacos, or burritos not even pica de gallo. No options for Vegans just charros or black beans and rice. The staff is amazing especially the Bartenders. The grill guy Eduardo made the best burgers and pancakes for breakfast....Drinks are watered down though.. The hotel needs a new look and if they do upgrade and keep their staff its for sure to be a 5 star property.

Let me be blunt. It is old. It is in Mexico. Stop whining about it's age and the language barrier. Next "they only speak Spanish" no, they don't. The check in counter, gift shop, sissy, and a few others speak English and others pick up on key words. You need to stop expecting they cater only to you. People complained they only liked foreign people, or white people, or natives... They helped the people who were kind and those who tipped. Not much different than the states. If you side eye them and judge them before you even talk to them, expect the same, talking about you woman who was side eyeing workers and fellow guests. The "everything is broken" is also wrong. And the "no hot water" is only semi true. There is warm water that comes through old showers. "Rooms are the worst" is also false. It is obviously one much more filled but the space is great. You can enjoy the space and move about it as needed. "Beach is bad" this too is a semi true. It is still enjoyable unless you want a swim. There is a hammock in the water... Kinda interesting. The view is beautiful. "The dock ruins everything" actually I love it. Watching the boats, the smiles on people's faces, the bustle, so nice. "Food is bad" we only experienced 1 bad things, the nachos. The food is amazing. Tender meat, good veggies, pastas, so yummy burgers! Get the all inclusive! So worth it.the service is great! Sissy is the best! Say hi to get for me. Trust me she and the snack bar guy, and the lead breakfast server.

This is a budget friendly place to stay. I was traveling with my niece and we felt safe. The food is good enough to not go hungry, but by no means a five star restaurant. The snack bar offers drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, nachos, fries, cheeseburgers, and hotdogs. Although it is an older hotel, it was clean and we felt safe. The staff was friendly for the most part, there's always 1 or 2 that don't like their job, lol. Check in was fast and easy. There is an onsite convenience store which we did visit nightly for chips and such. There is a desk in the lobby where you can purchase tours, Minerva was very kind and knowledgeable, and we had no issues with the tours we bought. If you are going for the first time, xcaret is definitely a tour I recommend! There are so many negative reviews on this place that we almost didn't stay here, but I'm glad we did. The only REAL issue i had was the shower head, it sprays hard like a bunch of little needles on your back, lmao. There is a bus stop right across the street from the hotel that takes you to the night clubs or market 28. We were out every day, so for us, this hotel was just fine. And they do have a nice clean pool and towel service.

Love that it’s so close to beach, room has no microwave or fridge. Also the catamarans leave from right in front off hotel, so always a lot of stuff going on. Wish there would have been a little more beach area to hotel and less seaweed. I stayed at this same place a few years ago, food has gotten better. Service was good room got cleaned every day, and everyone was very friendly

The stay here was below standards. But let me start by saying is wonderful ‼️ However the hotel its self is definitely run down an need a masive make over. I had no hit water at all the whole time we stayed. I had to keep going down to let them know. When i day no hit water nothing was coming down the cold water trickled out. The beach is nonexistent they dont even bother to clean the mounds of seed weed they just let it pile up. We had to walk like 4 hotels down to use the beach. They built a dock for boats which takes up the whole beach front which they dont mention. Pictures are definitely deceiving. Check in was a mess took a whole hour to check in nobody spoke english except two people an they both was on night shift. I occurred $100 trying to use goggle translator. The fact i paid for all inclusive an they just kept recycling the food is crazy. Soda was flat if u wanted a can had to pay for it . All inclusive means just that everything food an drink. They need to remove this off expedia

Overall it was a very good stay, it is located directly on the beach, within walking distance to lots of stores and restaurants. The hotel zone is a really safe area and you can grab one of the electric scooters and explore the area, or Uber or get a taxi. The hotel itself was decent, although there could be some updates and fixes to the rooms. The AC was very cold and the bathrooms were nice, there was a great view of the ocean too. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, especially those working the buffets and the bar. Sissy gets 5 stars also, she was awesome and very helpful. If you get a chance take one of the boat tours to isla mujeres (which leaves right from the beach on the hotel property) it was very affordable and it was a lot of fun. Just know what you are getting if you book this hotel since it is a touristy beach resort: there are some flaws with the rooms, there are a ton of people everywhere, not everyone speaks English but most do, the food was okay (it is a buffet so don’t expect Michelin star food), and there are a ton of people living there looking to take advantage of all the tourists. Allow yourself to have fun and don’t nitpick the little things.. besides, there’s free booze and beautiful beaches
