The lobby and restaurant are great. The rooms were styled nicely however they were not clean. Upon arriving the room smelled musky. The AC on the wall was not working. I was there for 9 nights. The key is to book a room with an ocean view and balcony. The neighborhood is not great, but not terrible, either. It's very close to the beach. 15 minute walk to Santa Monica Pier, as well. One minor complaint: there is a daily "Destination Fee" added of $39/day. This is pretty steep for just a pool (a nice pool, mind you), but one where you are not permitted to bring out any food or drinks.
