The next morning, as I set out for an early walk, I was lucky enough to join a large family of about thirty monkeys on the first leg of my hike. They moved calmly and peacefully through the forest, completely at ease with my quiet presence. It was a magical and truly unique experience. Beyond the wildlife encounters, everything at Maya Ubud was exceptional. The meals were consistently delicious, the resort grounds were immaculate and lush, and the service was flawless — attentive without being intrusive.
