"What a decadent experience in low-key, authentic Japanese style. Not a detail was spared in the gorgeous historic building and lush forest grounds. The several course meals were outstanding, served in our private dining room and the staff was beyond helpful and gracious. The multiple onsens on property were beautiful and healing, you can even reserve one for an hour of private use. To get there, board a shinkansen and get off at the train station that is about 25 minutes away from the hotel and...

"The history of this hotel is amazing and recent renovations kept the spirit of the past while thinking of the future.
Service is perfect, food was perfect, large hot springs bath was exactly what we needed "

"It is a family run business so can feel the warmness. The food is amazing and the service is very good. The owner will talk to the customer and ask for areas of improvment. It is an amazing stay at the place."

"The food options were just ok for buffet and very over priced. The private onsen was lovely. Unfortunately the kids pool was very loud in the evening so it made it hard to enjoy.
Also was suprised that there really was no view of Mount Fuji which had been advertised. "

"Clean modern hotel with its own personal bath in the room. Sadly the customers do not wear clothes and are naked in the communal bath and not modest . The bath in the room provides a very good alternative. We did not have time to enjoy the breakfast, but it seemed pretty lavish. I would strongly recommend this hotel."
