"This place is very close to Shinagawa Station and shopping. We bought alot souvenirs and staff is very friendly and supportive. There is a Yamato Transport for luggage delivery in the hotel and there is also a pool (we were not able to use it as our stay was only overnight) We ate at the buffet, which has different food options. Be prepared for small servings if you are used to Vegas Buffetbor American Buffet sizes. Did not care for the Crab. It also seems like melted butter is not really an option. But staff at the buffet is very friendly."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Tokyo

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable times to visit Tokyo are in January, August, and September, when hotel prices may drop. For an enriching experience filled with key historical landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, you can explore a variety of budget-friendly sites, including temples, museums, and monuments, as well as enjoy the city's vibrant architecture, beautiful parks, and diverse shopping options. This trip promises great value for money while immersing you in the rich culture and natural beauty of Tokyo.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers impressive options for hotel deals in Tokyo and throughout Japan. By visiting the “Deals” section, you may discover discounted hotels, while the “Last-Minute Deals” section could help you secure a spontaneous getaway. Enabling email alerts ensures you’re updated on flash sales. Additionally, the “Smart Shopping” tool via the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see favourable offers and explore various hotel recommendations across Tokyo.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your Tokyo hotel stay. For those seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels might offer a more personal touch and occasionally represent better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price appear higher, we may suggest alternative dates that could potentially offer a more affordable option.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre generally tend to be more expensive; however, thanks to Tokyo's superb public transport network, you might find an independently run hotel further afield that is more likely to be affordable while still being well connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even nearby, lesser-known cities, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
